Repealed diagnosis of SSD
I had talked with a doc who worked on a neuropsychiatric ward of Sheppard Pratt (major psychiatric facility in MD) at my place of work; she had been following along with my diagnosis, and she didn't think it was schizophrenia, so needless to say she was happy when I told her it was Aspergers. She had encouraged me, since I'm very medical-savvy, and an excellent writer, to write some sort of book about it from the Aspie and medical perspective, and I'm really considering it.

I think that's an excellent idea, PB. I love to read books about mental/emotional disorders from the afflicted themselves. I would definitely buy it. Girl Interrupted was such an entertaining and informative book. The movie is one of my all-time faves, too.
Birdgirl73--you're very welcome :)
