The differance was that it was actual Libyan Government Agents that planted the bomb. I agree with the airstrike in retaliation because it was proven to be Libyan agents killing Americans in a terrorist act.Quote:

I don't believe a nuclear Libya would have been allowed by ISREAL. The Isreali's knocked out Iraq's nuclear program and would have done the same to Libya. This is the basic contention that I have with today's US foreign policy...Why is the USA responsible for policing the Mid-East? The majority of the countries in the region don't want a nuclear Iran any more then the US and Isreal. A nuclear Iran is much more of a threat to them in the near future then they are to America. These countries make money hand-over-fist in oil and buy American and Soviet weapons. It's high time that the Saudis, Egypt, Turkey, and Jordan take care of business in their own backyard.
