I just downloaded the deloused cd on rhapsody and after a quick listen through it is certainly impressive
You need to check out Hella.
Local band here that really reminds me of The Mars Volta.
MySpace.com - Hella - - Other - www.myspace.com/realhella
volta is sooo good. im deffinately a fan of their older stuff,
you should check out at the drive in. its got the two main guys from volta in it.
ive listened to hella before, imo its alot more disorganized and fucked up; but in a good way.
theres only one hella right?
Whatever floats your boat, but I can't stand this stuff. To me it sounds like a bunch of random chords, a dude slamming on drums and a guy screaming
you must not know a thing about music than. all of the Mars Volta's albums are indeed impressive,, they're probably some of the best musicians performing today. The sad thing is that after John Theodore left i havent really seen them moving forward at all. He was the core of that band and when i saw them with their other drummer (cant think of his name right now) I was greatly dissapointed,, as their earlier shows were fucking amazing.Quote:
