I'd wait about a month - possibly longer - if it were me. It really depends on what type of lights you're using for the vegetative stage. If you're using HPS or MH, then you could probably induce flowering in about a month and have a nice robust plant to work with. But, on the other hand, if you're using fluorescents then it may take a little bit longer to rear. Many flouro setups simply can't produce the explosive/vigorous growth that HID's do, but then again...if done right, CFL's and even some quality all-spectrum tubes can prove to be quite the exception to the rule.
I would have guessed from the pictures that this little darling was an indica, possibly a sativa/indica hybrid. But that's just from judging by the shape of the foliage. I could be completely mistaking, and if I am, then I apologize.
