Yes all my life I've had society telling me I'm some mental retard slobbering over ice cream (oh wait...mmm...rockyroad) but their own measurements do not support this - I measure a high IQ and meet or beat 85% of the squares at their own games any time, sober or not.
I cannot explain this disparity between the TV image and the reality, I can't hope to enlighten them as to its err. So long ago I hadda figure fuggem . . . I don't fit your stereotypes...deal with it. Maybe your stereotypes are wrong? Deal with it...not my problem.
As I get older I suspect perhaps we're better with this perception than something more sinister?

Im a stoner and proud of it. Got a problem with it? Lick my ass! I dont really care if people think im a dope head because I smoke pot. I love Marijuana and im going to smoke it till i die. Thats what i choose, thats what im gunna do. If people think im a low person for living my life the way i want to live it then so be it. I know the truth, I know im not low. Im a very good person actually. So people can think whatever the fuck they want about me, as long as i know its not true.
Not all non-smokers think that way though. My bf doesent smoke anymore but he loves the fact that I do and very happy that way. Im his Stoner Kittie :D

if you think you are the scum of the earth thats just your opinion, doesn't matter if you smoke or not. Non smokers are not perfect, some of them drink, others waste mad money gambling and the "healthier" ones are watching programs about the lifes of celebrities, or maybe being really busy worrying about fashion or maybe working 70 hours a week because they have to support a family, and people like that are not scum are they?
I mean everyones got something, maybe a fix or maybe just something wrong with their lives that they would rather change. I think its about living and accepting your self, getting the better out of things you do.
Chickenhuntin, labeling your self as a "stoner" doesn't really give you much either, I think you should worry about being your self and not something you heard from a friend or tv.

Yes, Helter, we all have a vice of some sort. But, what makes us the scum of the earth is that we chose a vice that is highly illegal. At the same time there are people getting drunk, gettin in a car and killing whole families. When you are under the influence of alcohol, one is unpredictable. I am a strong believer that people who smoke weed have control over every one of their actions sober or not. If you get into a car after smoking weed and kill someone you cannot blame it on weed, if you did something stupid while you were high, its because you are stupid. Anyone agree with that?

not always legal means right and illegal means wrong. Its legal to drink while everyone knows drunk people are alot more dangerous than stoned people. Even cigarrettes, you know how many people die each year for smoking so much cigs?
I think right and wrong is just a perceptive thing, it depends on who lives it and who sees it.

I don't care about the people who think all potheads are evil or stupid or whatever. If you're ignorant enough to believe stuff like that, I couldn't care less what you think of me. No matter what you say to me, I know smoking pot does not make you dumb or cause brain damage or any of that crap. If that were true, I would definitely not be maintaining a 3.9 GPA in university while smoking a quarter a week. Fuck anybody who thinks otherwise.

Off Topic - We hypothesize that the universe is infinite, no? In an infinite place there has to be other life, most likely life more advanced than us and life beneath us. Right now, we think we're the highest things ever, but in the scheme of things we're nothing. And, if we discovered beings in other places, all religions that believe in a higher being would be dead. Shit is crazy.
