Giggy's drug testing questions
when i read in certain threads to "invest and practice with a digital thermometer" does that mean to actually take it in with me to the drug testing center? I have one, a baby one, and I practice with it all the time...basically just testing the temperature after the sample has been crotched for 15 min. I dont know though, it beeps when I turn it on and it beeps again continuously when its done making its reading... I think somebody would hear it :wtf: FBR, any thoughts?

my pot loving friends, also...what are the chances of there being a thermometer on the side of the sample cup they provide? I'm curious because right now im really worried about keeping the temperature in right range...94-98? I will have a foot warmer wrapped in 5 layers of toilet paper rubber banded around my sub container... im just curious because through my practicing I find that the temp after 15-20 min is around 99.5 degrees...but if theres a temp strip on the side of the sample cup then I should be good!...right?! :stoned: :( :wtf:

im freaking out and I can't sleep at night worrying about this :(
Giggy's drug testing questions
I was freaking out too and not sleeping well -- What an anxiety nightmare -- I passed though (so I think as my company finally told other people I'd been hired) -- All of that anxiety may not have been worth it though... I think I'm good -- Now all they can do is tell me to leave -- I hope they don't but my test was Tuesday morning and I'm still employed... Try not to freak out too much -- ;)

smokey, do you remember any temp strip on the side of the sample cup? if so, does it jsut rread the initial temp when it enters the cup or can it fluctuate? thnx smokey :)
Giggy's drug testing questions
All the labcorp tests I've done always have a temp strip on the side.
I would NOT use a thermometer that beeps.I hide one in my sock to double test my quickfix after I pour it into the cup.
I use the thermometer becuase if the sample is a little high or a little low you can't tell by the temp strip. If its a little high you can blow on it if its a little low your screwed.

Giggy, you are doing it again. You are kind of hi-jacking threads as you are posting the same question in multiple threads. Be patient!!!! Be patient!!!! Don't expect a response at 2 in the morning everytime. Then you even asked one member to answer your question and they haven't been on in months.
Using the search feature or reading some posts would have given you the answer about beeping thermometers and temperature strips. First use a little common sense. Do you think they actually dip a thermometer into each sample or do they have something on the outside of the cup to keep possibility of contamination down to nothing? Would it make sense to dip a thermometer into each sample, expect the collector to clean it so that the next sample isn't contaminted by a possibly previous dirty sample? How many people would try to use this as an excuse for a positive. Do you think they use those expensive infra red thermometers that you can point at something and get a temp? Do you think they don't check the temp at all. Just some thoughts.
As far as "investing in a thermometer" that means to use to practice before you go in to the test. I don't even use one anymore but if you are new to it, you do trial runs at home till you perfect the place to secure the container and how to secure it and you use the thermometer to check your results. Some people take them in with them but this is very rare and useless. You only have 4 minutes in the bathroom so what good is it going to do you to know before you pour it in the cup that you are hot or cold? Stick it in the microwave? Throw it in the freezer? Oh, wait you're in a bathroom LOL :D!!!! I know killerweed said they used one but why? The strip is what they are going to go by so why use a different measuring device? Those strips are pretty accurate anyway.
The strip will change as the temperature changes.
Calm down and just practice at home with trial runs. You will be surprised at how much body heat you give off and you don't have to play mad professor with paper towels and toe warmers. Practice makes perfect and gives you confidence too. Now quit posting and go PRACTICE!!! ;)

Yeah, Giggy, like killer and FBR say, there was a little black strip on the side of the cup -- After giving my specimen the strip started having some colors on it in little circles with had temperatures in what appeared to be 2degree increments -- mine was around 94 -- 96 as far as I could tell. -- Regardless of the temp though, the guy KNEW my urine was coming out of me -- He made me stand there with the door 'cracked' open -- And I had to go so bad you could easily hear what I was doing.

ok im freakin out... I keep practicing with my bottle and actual urine (lol) and foot warmer. after having it tucked for 15 min I check the temp and its usually around 98.5 to 99-100... i'm getting worried :( if my sample is around the high 99's when its in the cup will I be able to drop the temp. safely by blowing and swirling it around while watching the temp strip on the side of the sample cup? will it be safe to help the temp drop with out them knowing the actual temp when it first enters the cup? i'm freeeakin outt!! :(
