I think evert should continue to use mylar or aluminum foil or emergency blankets or sumthin, the rest of us should go w/whats proven to work best.

Anything I've ever read says mylar reflects 98% of light while flat white reflects about 70%.
aluminum foil is shite. hot spots and crinkles easy.
Mylar is far more reflective than flat white paint.
Like blink says aluminium foil will cause problems, do not use it.
White paint is ok but not nearly as good as mylar.
Try to get domed or diamond mylar, its the best.

ignore the poly and film , they may melt :)
Mylar is for microgrows.
Panda film or flat white paint are ideal for larger spaces.
The drawback of mylar is that the slightest bit of dirt or pesticide overspray will dull the surface and make it really unreflective. Be prepared to clean and replace it regularly.
I no longer use mylar at ALL in any of my grow spaces. Panda Film is the bomb diggity.
FYI Good flat white paint has lots of titanium dioxide in it. That makes it more reflective than mylar I believe. Although I use mylar because I believe it has more intensity.
