My car has 110 horsepower and i have never reached above 120. Fastest I got was just under 120 and after that it felt like it had nothing left to give. Downhill I reckon it could do 130 though.
*giddy type gasp* My dream car!!!! + rep for the Skyline fan. Now that you mentioned that I gotta go change my underwear.Quote:

My suggestion is to let it be and quit doing 120 before you kill somebody or lose your license. But if you insist, just bypass the governor. No need for toggle switches and all that jazz. And if you really wanna go fast, buy a motorcycle. They'll cause less collateral damage when you crash it.
I believe it's a felony to remove that limiter.. At least in Canada I know you can have your car basically taken from you if your car is found to be altered like that. In fact, street racing in general now .. is illegal and can get your license taken forever.
You can be banned from driving for street racing in Canada now..
I gotta agree though, doing 120+ is pretty reckless and stupid, not to mention ruining the pistons in your engine.
Enjoy!
oh P.S.
That gov. chip is in there not only to limit the speed you can go.. but to prevent permanent damage to your engine.
So you may wanna think twice about doing anything like that to your (or mom's) car.
To excede 120 in that little shitbox ricer is stoopid without putting more money into the car than its worth. Start with a 6 point cage, 5 point harnesses, and Z rated tires. Then you can re-design and build a whole new brake system.... 102mph isn't worth a damn if you can't get it stopped. Now, once you have those little projects out of the way, you need to add some downforce so you don't float off the road into the iceplant at speed.
A firesuit and brain bucket is a real good idea too. Next you gotta figure out what track your going to run that little POS at, because in *MOST* states, if you get caught running 20mph over the limit, they haul your ass off to jail for reckless driving, exhibition of speed, and racing on public streets, then don't count on getting your license back for a number of years.
Now to the drive train.... to keep the engine from having a catistrophic failure, you will need to do around $30,000 of work to the engine an tranny, the least of which is the chip, and laptop to tweak it once you get it on the dyno.
If you got more dollars than sense, then go ahead on with it.... but in stock trim, that 120mph SAFETY SHUTDOWN is there for a reason.
If you insist on trying this stunt, than the brain bucket needs to be really, really small, because you don't have a brain to put in it.
And yes, I used to build and race cars.

anyways, hope he finally got the picture....
and BB i don't think it's illegal to modify/remove that govener in the states, glad canada atleast has some sense...
I dont really like the looks of the Skyline.
I'd rather buy a Accura Integra.
But yeah, I plan on adding alot to this little shit car so its not like this is the only thing Im doing. I plan on putting a new intake on it and new exhaust. Then I could put a performance chip on it.
But yeah, its probably not even worth it but whatever. Its ma shit
Its not like I want to fucking do 150 mph in a little 4 banger I just dont like having my car "capped" its my car and I want that bitch to be able to run like its mine if it ever has too. =]
they sell those damn computer programmer things, brands like hypertech, that does the trick
anyways, you are getting a fuel and spark cut when you hit that certain speed... you can only change it with the computer, honda forums will point you in the right direction a little better.
but dude, i am willing to bet your tires are rated to 80mph, and you will only go 125 downhill anyways.
the cheapest hotrod now a days is a foxbody mustang, pound for pound, and dollar for dollar, the fastest cheap ride around... i lived at the dragstrip, used to caravan with the racers around to all the different races, and tracks... in fact 18-20 i was installing race transmissions for OUTLAW series drag cars... and let me tell you, there is no replacement for displacement... yea your supra has a small turbo engine making lots of power, but what do you think would happen if i built my 5.7 liter motor for a turbo????
you can only go as fast as your hardware man, no matter how bad you want it, you are still limited by your honda ;)
True dat, I just need a better car. =]Quote:
