The only place you should smoke is in your house. Don't smoke and drive thats how you get busted. Also keep your habit on the DL. Luckily, you live in New York where you can get caught twice for possesion and it is only a civil volation which means it is like a traffic ticket. Don't deal either.
Well, the United States is a great country and we can consider weed legal if it's only a civil violation when we get caught smoking weed once or twice. Is it like that in all states and all cities of the U.S.?

Nah, just the state of New York. Only 12 states have decriminalized MJ. Some of the states with decriminalization have barely decriminalized it too. Possesion of under an ounce in Colorado, and Maine is always a civil violation. Do you live in New York? My bad if you don't If you live somewhere else check out this link. If I remember correctly from an introductory political science class, in some aspects of law state law trumps federal law but in other regards federal law trumps state law. Regarding marijuana, federal law trumps state law and city ordinances which is why those laws are currently worthless.Quote:
