My husband is 15 years older than me. When we got together I was 20 and he was 35.(We have been together very happily 22 years). People said all kinds of things about him being a dirty old man,etc. Everybody and their brother tried to break us up.( A few almost succeeded.) When I met him I was soooo tired of boys. I wanted to date a man. A man that new how to treat a lady. A man that knew what real sex was( I was so done with the "rapid rabbit" sessions! )And , yeah, a man with a few bucks so maybe we could have a real date instead of taco bell or mcdonalds.
We stayed together in spite of it all, and I've been blessed with a great man.
Bottom line : She is a big girl and should be able to live her life as she sees fit. Support her. Don't judge. And dont get in the middle. She will resent you for it. Its her life.

You are absolutely right. But this isn't a relationship that will last. And both parties know it. I know her "boyfriend" better than she does, I've lived with him. Honestly, she can care less about him.

Age does not matter....if it is a real relationship that both take serious.
None of the relationships I have mentioned are the slightest bit "real".
The girl just doesn't like guys her age and the guys like the "hot" young chick.
It's purley sexual and of course they treat her to whatever she wants.
but the thing that troubles me the most is that the males have known this girl since she was a baby. I was raised better than to see the good in these fuck-buddy type relationships.

Anyway,I don't date guys more than 5 yrs older than me,but at 18,she's a consenting adult...as long as she's protecting herself,there's not much more you can ask her to do....sounds to me like you have a little bit of a crush and it's hurting your feelings.only time will make that go away,but if you want to hear something worse,my best friend slept with my DAD after she turned 18:wtf:.Talk about gross!she's a year younger than me....it could be worse! :smokin:

i see how people would think that but honestly, i just think it's nasty. like i said before, i've known her since childhood.
it's strictly, a very strong friendship.
she's told me of even OLDER boyfriends of hers but they were guys that I knew nothing of.. now that she is dealing with my cousins? i know what kind of men they are. that's the key thing here.. lol.. these men have known her for YEARS.
but like most have said, it's her life... it's her body.. she JUST turned 18 but i guess she's an adult now so she should know better, right?
i just hope my little cousins(and maybe daughters) respect themselves rather than to have sexual relationships with guys because of their money. that's it.

My turn to rant.
A month ago, my sister broke up with her boyfriend of two years. She was sixteen when they met, and fell for him hard. He was over 40, and had a criminal record of exposure to minors. The charge was made in B.C. - he moved halfway across the country and changed his name, and didn't tell my sister about the charge until they had sex, and for whatever reason she didn't care, because she thought she was in love.
His wife divorced him because he was caught making out with a teenage girl when he was a counsellor at bible camp. Because he was trained as a counsellor, he convinced my sister that she had all sorts of mental illnesses, and that he was the only one that could help her. She spent every hour after school locked in her room texting him. Her schoolwork suffered, and she had no friends at school and no extra-curricular activities.
He has two daughters my sister's age, and he paid more attention to her than his daughters. In the two years he dated her, the only reason my parents met him was because my mum went to check on my sister while she was at my dad's (parents are separated) and found him there, and because my dad followed my sister when she left "to go to a friends' place" and saw her get picked up in his van. Yeah, a van - it's stereotypically creepy pedo. Not once did he ever try to meet or even call my parents. She'd always get picked up and dropped off away from home, and she'd leave without asking and never say where she was going or leave a phone number - hell, my mum only found out her cell phone number by accident.
I still don't know what he looks like, and that's my choice - because I know that if I ever met him I'd probably kill him for fucking around with her, mentally and physically. And it might make me a bad person, but I'm finding it extremely hard to forgive her for giving my mother two years of stress and mental anguish.
The part that I really don't like is that now that she's apparently broken up with him, she's the prodigal daughter. I put my own life aside so that my mother could focus on dealing with my sister, and now my sister still gets all the attention because my mum's so glad she's behaving again. She gets the love, while I got to start off most meals for two years with something similar to "I've been reading your sister's journal. She thinks about his penis a lot." Absolute bullshit. As selfish as it might sound, I'm glad I'm leaving this house.

I see it all the the time. Girls at my school are screwing guys that are like 25 when they're like 15-18. The thing is they think they're so cool/mature because they're older but if the guys were really that cool you'd think they'd be able to pull girls there own age. But w/e I don't care either way. It's not my life it theirs.

that is pretty sick but i have a sicker story i know this girl shes 16 now but when she was 14 she gave her moms best friend who was 27-28 at the time a handjob in the living room of her mothers house on her mothers couch while her mom was sleeping in the other room.
the sickest part about it though is this guys been around this girl all her life ever since her mom had her at 15 hes been there as she was growing up he even baby sat her when she was a toddler and then he takes advantage of the her and her weak mind and he took advantage of his friends trust and this girls trust aswell.
when she told me this i was dating her at the time and it had happened like 2 weeks before we started dating i was grossed out and thought about telling her mom cause the dude is obviously a pedophile and is breaking the law and deserves to get his ass raped in jail but i know the girl would never press charges against him and would deny it ever happened cause she was so embarrassed by it
