Thanks for your advice. How long have you not smoked now and how long did you take the meds for?
i quit around november and havent smokes at all after that............. well sort of : )
i did cheat a few times after i quit taking the pills.
like when i was out fishing at the lake, drunk watching my friends smoke, but that was like twice and i didnt start back up afterwards

i really think there is something to the thick parers too though, i think half of the additive stuff in cigs comes from the cig-papers. they dont test the papers like they do the tobacco so thats where they hide the really addictive chemicals IMO
so i think its a bit more easy to quit the tobacco first while still smoking the thick papers with my weed, then phase out the papers after the tobacco habit is history

So you are saying you do not use the thin ones like zig zags? What kind of paper do you use?

top is one brand thats pretty easy to find or bugler.
i prefer a zigzag for weed but when im using weed as a substitute for a cigarette the thick papers like "top" work much better

Totally cool, I will get some. Thanks alot for the tips.....everything helps. :) I feel better knowing it took you awhile to quit all the way as well so that really relieves my mind. :stoned: I felt as though I had to do it the first week or I'd be lost like so many other things I've tried.....slip once and it seems like the patches and gums just don't help anymore at all! Like you say, going 24 hrs can be done and it IS getting easier....easier than I thought quitting would be.
Thanks for the pep talk.

yeah it has to build up in your system, good thing about that is after you quit smoking and then quit the pills the residual effect of the pills stays with you for a month or so

Chantix works well while you are on it, but studies show that once patients stop taking Chantix, their relapse rates are similar to people that used the patch or gum to quit.
Cold turkey is still the most effective quit-smoking method for tobacco.
