I look at it this way: I will have the summers off (if I want to teach a class, I can), I will have my own office, yet I will be around other adults, and teaching jobs are always needed. I was worried @ first because it is hard to find a good paying job in Psychology, but I would rather do something that I am happy in instead of making big bucks doing something that I hate. Anyways, Good luck!
yeah, im not too worried about getting some big-paying job, especially right out of college. i'd like to let the cards fall in place. i can be content with a well-paying job that lets me live comfortably. there wouldn't be any harm in sending out applications else where, or even continuing my education.
thanks, and good luck to you as well!

Psychology is a profession that, sadly, will be in great demand as our soldiers return from bush's dirty little war. I'd give special attention to the "treating PTSD" parts of the course. I am a psych major, too. And Birdgirl, I spent 5 years at my local community college! I "drained it dry" of interesting classes. Graduated with honors and am presently waiting for them to get the BA level classes started- A retiring counselor told be that a 4 year degree program was in the works for psych. I keep hoping that they will do it soon. Anyway, Good luck and don't party too much while at school!- Granny:hippy:

me? party? nahhhhhhhhh.......
thanks for the advice on listening to the PTSD section of the course. i'm not too sure i'd like to go in the field of research, but maybe therapy? i sure don't want to be a psychiatrist, i don't want to prescribe meds, i don't always see progress in those who take them, in fact some of my friends seem to regress. i do what i can to listen to people's problems, so maybe getting paid for it wouldnt be so bad. but then these people's lives would be weighing on my conscience.

Good luck, I just declared myself Broadcasting, I'd like to get involved in video editing more so than aspiring to become some sort of news anchor.
