I am also a newb but have learnt from these pages that you only put one seed per pot. Otherwise the plants will fight for root space and you will have a dominant plant that takes more nutrient than the other and make it weeker.

how often do i water and feed my plants and how much?
There are different ways, the one I like (in my limited soil growing experience) is you water them when they need it, you can tell if they need it by sticking your finger about 1"-1 1/2" into the soil: if it sticks to your finger it has enough water, if it is dry and your finger comes out pretty much clean, then it is time to water, as for how much: not so much as to soak them, but you want the soil wet, I found that in 6 liter pots this usually took about 300-500ml of water, (1 1/2-2 cups US). But your not using the same soil as I was, if it runs out the bottom of the pot it was probably a bit too much water.Quote:
