The District Sleeps Alone Tonight by The Postal Service gets me good.
You seem so out of context
In this gaudy apartment complex
A stranger with your door key
Explaining that I am just visiting
And I am finally seeing
Why I was the one worth leaving
Anna Begins by The Counting Crows, It goes from being kinda sad sounding, to upbeat and it kills me.
My friend assures me, "It's all or nothing."
But I am not really worried I am not overly concerned
You try to tell yourself the things you try to tell yourself
To make yourself forget I am not worried
"If it's love," she said, "then we're going to have to think about the consequences."
She can't stop shaking
I can't stop touching her and...
This time when kindness falls like rain
It washes her away and Anna begins to change her mind
"These seconds when I'm shaking leave me shuddering for days," she says
And I'm not ready for this sort of thing
white rabbit by jefferson airplane - grace slick's voice is mesmorizing
mountain jam by the allman brothers band - they're totally jamming out and it's sooooo chill
golden star by my brightest diamond - her voice is just awesome....that whole cd, bring me the workhorse, is just amazing....i saw them with the decemberists a couple of months ago, and her voice is 20 times better in person - it completely blew me away. and her voice already sounds pretty fucking good on the cd
Pantera - Cemetary Gates
Crispi
The drugs don't work by the Verve, just a breathtakingly beautiful song. If i'm not mistaken Richard Ashcroft wrote it while his father was gravely ill, giving it even more poignancy
climbing up the walls-radiohead
Funeral for a Freind & Love Lies Bleeding in your hand's. Elton John!
"All My Ghosts" by Frank Black - Album "Frank Black and the Catholics"
I was driving across the valley floor
Going past a scene of gore
Something that had ended here
Then I stopped in at a porno store
And I found among the pictures there
A vision that was very fair
Just a moment from yesteryear
All I could do was stare
Guitar solo
Between "stare" and the guitar solo - gets me every time. Chills like you wouldn't believe.
Why? I honestly couldn't say for sure. Maybe cause I like porn? Probably because the imagery of seeing something raw, honest and beautiful from an earlier age blows my mind. Frank writes the perfect pop rock song, sweetly building tension throughout the bridge and kicking my ass with guitar at the end.
^ love your TOOL avator btw haha
and right now im listening to Maynards Dick- TOOL and ugh...it just gives me the tingles
