I liked him a lot better when he was like 16 or whatever and already hanging with the big dogs of Cash Money. Now that's he's like what, 21-22, his albums reflect some "maturity" I'm not totally down with.
The lyrics have definitely matured as far as content, but it's like I don't really know if I want to hear him rapping about some chick compared to songs like Shine or even a more recent Go DJ.
Still though, songs off The Carter 2 like Fireman and even Receipt still sound good every now and then, plus the beats are still insane. That's prolly the best part about his work now, to be honest. Still can't beat a Three 6 beat though lol. :thumbsup:
