I've noticed that a good chuck of men who have a feminine nature, seem to have a lower self-esteem: poor posture, voice projection, etc.
I honestly believe men should behave like men, and women like women; keeps things in simple & in check.

^^
seriously?
you prefer someone to act like something their not because it keeps things simple and in check for YOU?
excuse me sir if me being gay disturbs your simplicity.
barbie dolls and tonka trucks are toys, and nothing more. it's the people that give them their feminine and masculine connotations, how does an 18month old comprehend that he can't play with a doll because someone craving simplicity thinks it's wrong?
and i'm sorry, but where do you gather that gay men are lacking self esteem? despite fear of presecution or fear of just being made fun of.... yeah some gay people prefer to sink into the woodwork..... but in my experience (and statistics!) gay men out preform straight men in a number of things including something like business which is seen as the familymans job. good for his parents for supporting him and letting him be who he is comfortable being.

I'm a psych major and have been given the opportunity to learn more about things like this.
...I'm not gonna go into a bunch of crap...but I will tell you that I learned that many people who are gay know at a very young age they are different.
That kid may or may not turn out gay...but I mean...It has been biologically proven that gay people do have different brains. So it is very possible that he is just more in tune with what he wants and feels accepted in doing so. He probably just feels more comfortable with society now, not just him, but socially being gay is more acceptable now than it ever has been.
I don't know where I'm going with this...but it is very possible that he is gay...

When I was younger I used to dress like a boy, up until I was like, 13? I always had on my brother's hand-me-downs. (I mean, I literally could be mistaken for a lil dude) I went thru my extremely gay period where I'd only date girls too. (I'm bisexual) As I got older, I've experienced a lot of things and I'm just happier being a girlie girl..although I do still like my baggy boy pants every now and then. As well as a chick.
It's how he was born, just like it was how I was born. I grew out of it, appearence wise, in a way. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. If it makes him happy, who the hell gives a crap?
