My job is hell at the moment i work next to a smelly person.
the only thing i dont like about work is work theres always plants that need tending:D
My job's great. It's not do good in the wet coz i dont like slipping off the side of boats and into the river, but otherwise it's perfect. It's my hobby, so i enjoy it, i get paid silly amounts of money for doing hardly anything, i'm allowed to smoke all day while i work, i sit on a computer playing games or on here and people do the work for me. The only times im needed is if they're having trouble or if it's something big like an engine change over or getting one of the boats out of the water.
Lifes good - i'm content. I'm only missing one thing.
thats what I might be doing soon....for a bankQuote:

The down side is that I work alone and it gets rather lonely.
The up side is that my lab is pretty automated and by keeping the equipment in good repair, I get plenty of time to just putter around.
When I have more guts, I'll quit and go do what I want to do next, which is travelling around and fixing equipment in OTHER peoples' labs, for twice the money. But when you're sitting on year 3 of a 30 year mortgage, that job security makes switching employers pretty hard to justify, lol!
I work as an RN taking care of homeless folks. I used to work on a medical/surgical/cardiac monitoring floor now that was HELL. We were always short staffed ,very busy and I have ADHD so in short this job was a bad fit. No job is perfect as we also work short but the acuity isn't anywhere as horrible at a regular hospital and we never get mandated to work the next shift if someone calls out sick, etc. I took a minor cut in pay but it has been worth it. Besides homeless folks are my kinda people!
i hate mine. it is basically a microcosm of society. hard efficient work gets you nothing if you dont totally play by the rules. meaning this. if i come in two minutes late, while im there work harder and get more done than everyone else, stay an hour and a half late after working all day because we are shorthanded, i get written up for being two minutes late and punished. meanwhile the people that got there on time and didnt do shit, in fact made a concerted effort to avoid working while there, they are fine, they didnt come in two minutes late. fuck that.
Last summer I had the best job ever, I worked at a really fancy country club as a life gaurd, no one there swan ever, once in awhile we would have someone who was sunbathing or a lap swimmer but for the most part it was barren. I would spend all day on a law chair set up in a shack with a george forman grill a tv with a ps2, all I would do was smoke blunts, eat, and watch movies. The manager at the place was cool as shit and never really checked up on the lifegaurds. It was also great because I worked with some pretty cool people. They were older so they could buy me alchol. And the best part was all of my friends could come to my job and have a sickly nice pool to chill and swim in. AND FREE FOOD AT THE SNACK SHACK. This place was redicoulsly nice and the food was amazingg..... I would be working there this summer but I would need to re-certify my lifegaurding certificate, and it's not worth loosing the money to get it.
This summer I'm gonna make a lot more money being a nanny, I'm excited, kids are pretty fun.
:rolleyes:Quote:

Haha and suhl that was one time you stayed late like that, and another time you left an hour and a half early while the rest of us did our jobs...hmmm...
Thankfully suhl is there to share my pain, but I also hate my job. I've accepted it though, so whenever I go in it's like I'm emotionally numb, and I can go about my business and get in and get out. ~
I work about 32 hours at a coffee shop so its ok. I love the new people I meet and all the work I get done but I hate the fact that people think there superior because there the customer.
