u guys are caring about these commercials a little too much, thier just stupid pointless commercials and if anyone stops smoking weed because of them, then thats thier problem.

I just enjoy laughing at them, especially when smoking. It's amusing to see how the ads evolve, each time trying something new and equally brainless. Remember "smoking marijuana supports terrorists?" That was a classic.

I seen some old video that showed some old school guys in suits smoking then one randomly beats the shit out of the other one...aparently because he was high...I shall dig it up as I post....im rather high im sorry...okay I cant find the video but yeah. The lengths they go to, to make us believe this crap is unbelieveable.

I don't think people are caring about these commercials too much. They don't change the way I feel about weed, but they certainly do change the opinions of the non-stoner population. Go talk to some regular people about drugs. It's incredible what they believe! They wouldn't be so misguided if the government didn't put so much effort into creating misconceptions about drugs.

we have to spend all those drug prevention dollars somewhere,,,right???

These kind of things annoy me. Why? Because it's all made with our taxes - the taxes I have to pay, and for what? It's a waste. They should use my money on something thats going to help the country, not be ignored. They need to concentrate on DRUGS, and leave plants out of it.

i like the thought of these recent ones.
they aren't coming with DRASTIC lies. Instead they come subliminaly(like another stated) and let you decide the message.

some people might be alienated because of weed.
others might fuck up relationships because of weed.

i think it's targeting high school/middle school students and I don't think kids that age should be smoking so i guess they are ok with me.

MedicalHerb, it was indeed. In ONE add it claimed that marijuana 1) provides money that kills judges 2) supports gang activity and 3*) The main focus: pot finances terrorists, as evidenced by fast cut shots of actors in ski masks opening a car's trunk revealing a pile of ak-47's.

Although it might be a convenient out at some point. "We could have won the war on terror, but the dope fiends sabotaged our chances!"

The last link is very old, it's from when cannabis was a class b drug, now it's a class C coz out government realised it's harmless.
