Littlewing screwed over again.
i was rereadng the post, and something bothered me....
you shouldnt call your parents names like that...you resent them for boarding school now, but when you are earning 20, 30, 40 thousand more a year because of that, you will regret things like this......
think about that...
good luck...... :D

And what planet does this happen on? A parent has EVERY right to give restrictions and if the CHILD doesn't like it tough shit! My boy had an option, since I PAID ALL THE BILLS if he felt he was the man, he had the option of calling me out to the backyard just to see who had control. IF he took me, fine, do as you will OUTSIDE OF MY HOME; if not, dummy up! Being a smart CHILD he dummied up from time to time.
As for the "try educating them".........when a parent takes a hard core stand the last thing that they want is to see this little person that they used to change diapers on trying to act like they have a masters degree to teach the ignorant before they even have a high school diploma.
Do as you will LittleWing but if you follow some of the "great advice" in here it'll be your nuts in a vice, not theirs!

sigh..
adults think they know everything.
see, i may have been a little baby once. im not now tho, i have intelligence which i can use as i see fit and i can come to a logical solution just like my parents can. im human, they are human, and as parents they deserve unconditional respect but not unquestionable knowledge. families are a team and if you think you shouldnt learn from your kid now and then, that sucks. masters degree? thats a harsh exxageration. you dont need a masters degree to be sure of marijuana. you need a personality that provides you with an open mind. everyone could use a little education, even people who completed the ridicuously uninformative american school system. some things you cant argue with, but on a subject where you KNOW your informtion is correct..wheres the logic in submitting there?
i dont want you thinking im some little rebel punk kid. i have respect for my mom, and though i dont always listen to her i do (for the most part) unless i feel i could make a better decision based on the fact that im the one in my head, and all.
but im just a firm believer in equality. when you consider yourself a superior, you miss out on alot of learning. thats what ive seen..
anyways, im not perfect. feel free to pick me apart, but this is a convorsation that noone can really be right or wrong in.
peace.

:S2: Me and you would have had a gooood time! My son got a bit defiant but didn't want the back yard option. LOL...I bought home this BEAUTIFUL tape from the marine recruiter on a very nice military style school for those KIDS that THOUGHT they had rights.
We have the right to hand out restrictions whether or not the CHILD likes it or not. IF the CHILD doesn't like that there are other options for parents such as being locked down in a treatment facility or locked down in a camp like I described. Oh ya, don't think about running from the camp, it's located in the middle of nowhere in Texas. Stereos, TVs, games, etc... are not considered personal property of a minor, it belongs to the parents. The ONLY thing we have to supply is the cloths on your back and the grub in your stomach. When ya get home from school and find your room consisting of nothing but your bed and clothes don't think that a cop is going to arrest a parent for stealing your shit........he'll laugh at ya!
At a point when the CHILD turns 18 they have the right to either abide by the rules of the house or move out on their own, pay their own bills, etc........
The day I turned 18 we celebrated my birthday and then I packed my car, haven't lived with the folks since but always had a good relationship. Now when they come to MY house they know that if I pull out the bong and do a hit they have a choice; either stay and visit or hit the road.
Alot of the kids that never felt that anyone had the right to restrict their freedoms are the same ones doing hard time in the pen today. I had a buddy with a kid with that attitude and he let it fly.......the kids doing 15 yrs. in Waupon correctional. I wonder if he explains "his rights" to the gaurds in the same manner as he did his parents.
Littlewing is in need of good advice, not something that's going to turn his world into more of a mess.

heh.
why do you talk so condescending to me?
as a matter of fact i have been in one of those places, and it was in the middle of texas. the davey crockett forest, actually. i know what its like to have no freedom, no belingings, nothing but a bag with essentials and clothes. freedoms arent something i take for granted.
in my opinion though, parents who resort to forcing their kids to go to military school are nothing less that cowards. i went to a caring, open place and while they were holding me prisoner there they were doing it in a way that made me want to change and learn what got me there in the first place. the military is not an answer, the military is no place i would ever want my child, even if there is no fighting involved its a terrible disgusting degrading evil thing to put anyone into.
i dont care if thats how they way things are. theres not much i can do to change it except to parent my kids like i want to. but i hate it. i hate it so much and i dont get why people waste so much time on issues like this, me included. a dictatorship in the home produces way too much stress for everyone, at least so ive seen in my own family. if we could all just work together..man. theres nothing we couldnt do.
anyways to finish this off.
i dont see why you think i see myself as above everyone. if i do something to hurt others my freedoms obviously are going to be revoked. that just comes down to karma and the U.S. justice system.
Littlewing screwed over again.
Some of ya'll give these kids downright stupid advice..I like pot a much as the next guy but it is not a way of life or a lifestyle it's a damn drug (not saying drugs are bad) like it or not but untill your 18 your parents are responsible for you and pretty much own your ass....to tell kids to do what they want and to fuck their parents cause they don't want you to smoke pot...thats stupid and you people saying this ignorant shit is what people use to make the point that pot and all other drugs are bad...even if pot was legal you should'nt be able to smoke short of your 21 b-day...i'm pretty sure without using any names those of you i'm talking about (talking to) know who you are.....
