coon huntin is fun shit, load of guys, and a bunch of dogs, the dogs tree them by the time you find a tree full of coons, your already good and liquerd up, then have one guy climb the tree and start knocking them down, when they fall the people on the ground hit them in the head. its the best way to preserve the pelts, that way you can get money for them, otherwise you have a hole where you shot it
I really don't have anything against eating meat... but the way we treat animals like objects disturbs me.
These animals are involuntarily sacrificing their lives so that we can go on living... we should at least be grateful for it and show them some respect while they are still alive, IMO.
well you got to understand that in my area of the country, they are over populated and considered a treat to the crops. since coyote numbers are contained because alot of them are killed off before lambing season, there isnt any preditors to really keep the numbers in check. and if you had the chance to get 5 dollers for a pelt verse .50 cents, i would choose the 5 doller one, and you also dont have the expense of ammonition, and also, they are nocternal animals, so in the haste of everything, it would be alot more dangerous to be shooting guns at them.. you have to look at it in the broader terms then im just going out and beating a helpless creature to death. im keeping animal numbers in check, and helping out the fellow farmers by keeping these animals out of their crops and feed, helping fellow ranchers by keeping their livestock alive, and most importantly helping my weed fund!
Wasn't rippin' on you specifically man, was referring more to the first post of the thread.
Not that I agree with what you do either, but hey it's your choice.
what about the poor plants? killing carrots and lettuce and all those poor onions and peppers, murdering tomatoes and mashing garlic.. We better stop eating plants too... we should stick to water. Oh shit! we cant! we might kill the amoebas and other microorganisms living inside it! Life is so precious!
Plants don't have nerve endings or brains with which to comprehend pain, either. :P
But there have been reports that chemical changes similar to pain are sensed in plants who are being severed from their root system.
If flowers screamed bloody murder when you picked them, would people get bouquets?
Probably.Quote:
