thats one of the reasons y i quit, for the job i was doing i shouldve been making $14 but he didnt think i had paid my dues yet after being thier for a year last week...this is a guy who got kicked outta the coast guard at 22 cuz he smoked weed and still hasnt told my grandfather after 25 years- he said he hurt his back...he has such high ecpectations from me he named kevin "the second" and not "junior"- like i was just like him or something.....i dunno, just venting- thanks
i've been working for my grandfather for a while now. i like it because he's not super strict on when i have to get there and leave, plus he works at his house usually restoring classic cars which is fun.
i guess you have to make a fair amount of money and a good relationship with the person to make it worth it to work for them
I dont mind. I don't have a pay taxes for working, just get $50 a night for hawling(sp?) equipment. (Mother's a DJ, we do weddings and school dances and whatnot)
My son works in his dad's office in the summers, but he doesn't really report to his dad. He reports to the office manager, so it works out fine. They don't really have a lot of interaction except at lunch or occasionally in passing. He wishes they had more, he says, because he'd like to learn more about patient interaction and medical stuff, but privacy laws pretty much prevent that.
