yeah that would be a total kick in the pants
Uhh I don't know about you, but every time I see an issue of High Times I see lots of ads for products that are supposed to help you pass drug tests if you have THC in your system. Do you really expect them to drug test you? That's just insane.
i would say it depends on what part of the cooperation you are applying for. High Times is probably a somewhat large company and i would think some of the "higher up" positions (ones that dont necessarily pertain directly to magazine content) in the coorperation may require passing a drug test.
if your applying for a editor/writer or whatever...probably not.
if your applying to work in the coorperate office in their personnel department...maybe.
Lol are you serious. That magazine promotes the Cannabis Culture. Do you really think they care if you fail the drug test for THC?
NOT a dumb question - if the job position involves any sort of machinery operation, money-handling, etc, they probably CAN'T hire you if you flunked the drug test - Liability Insurance Companies make most of the rules governing business practices these days ... you can make your own magazine, and have it published, etc, - doesn't matter what it represents, but if anyone can possibly be injured, or place the company in a 'liable' situation from a lawsuit, the company has to obey their insurance carrier, and won't hire you - that's why dishwashers, car washes, fast-food, etc. , almost everything requires drug tests these days -- FOLLOW THE MONEY, Honey ... :smokin:
Well...liability or not....
This was just a joke..and I only wish i could work for high times.
Yes they do test you. If you pass the test, they don't hire you.
In the 1970s, different drugs would be used in each room of the High Times office - the weed room, the coke room, etc.
For several years they were very big on cocaine, even having centerfold pieces where pretty young women would pose with cocaine rocks. They were publishing stories telling people it was no more addictive than eating potato chips.
You'll be fine.
lol right on, i was thinking that's hypocracy!Quote:
