marigolds are a natural flower that have a scent that drives many pests away

I would veg them pretty big indoors first (12" or so) . . that way you are less likely to having these probs .. . a more mature plant along with pesticides will help . . . i use diatomaceous earth on ants in my garden . . works good . . spread it around the plants and ant hill . . its organic too
