actually from what i heard... cracking your knuckles is now thought to prevent arthritus later on in life.Quote:

totally, totally wrong. all cracking knuckles does is slightly weaken your grip but so little that it isnt significant, has no connection whatsoever with arthritis.Quote:

I can crack all my joints, and my neck. My friends think its sick and think that im gunner end up breaking my neck doing it. lol.
It's only the vacuum in the joints breaking, and it cant give you arthritis.
lipper has the right of it
i just crack my fingers and wrists, but i do it like, every 20 minutes
i love doing it.
i crack my fingers (sideways too) thumbs, knees, elbows, ankles...
..
and my favourite is my neck. I love freaking people out with the noise...my girlfriend can crack her back as well, i cant figure out how.
I didnt mention i can also dislocate my shoulder, and pop it back in. Only my right shoulder though. The first time i did it i was playing rugby at school, tackled and felt a pop and when i got back up it poped again, so i carried on playing. Didnt realise that i was dislocating my shoulder every time i popped it out untill like 6 months later.
easiest way is to sit in a solid seat (i.e. not a swivel chair) and turn to one side, and use your arms to pull the twist harder....Quote:
