Here are the girls today. No water, no nutes. The trichomes are really starting to show up (at least when you view them with the naked eye). I suppose it's about time for me to get one of those 50x microscopes you guys are always talking about. Anyone have recommendations? Did someone mention something about a $50 USB one?

I'm thinking this isn't bad for day 19 of flowering...

Looking nice for sure
I wana get one of those EyeClops things. Takes 200x macros that you can upload to you pc. Amazon.com: EyeClops BioniCam: Toys & Games but a $12 pocket microscope from Radio Shack will work just as well
looking fine, Riz!
Yes, those babies are looking great!
I just compared pix with my 400W HPS at about the same time and they both look very close in blooms progress. Those T-5's were strong in veg and show no shortcomings into flower. Great job. Go speed racer go!!!
I've been hanging my big T-12 tubes on an angle with shortest plants on one side and tallest on the other. Then I adjust the height tilted evenly across the tops of the plants. Even with the plants, not the floor, in other words. Am I saying that clearly? :wtf:
If bending the tops, do you try to "pinch" them before bending? If, after watering, you give the stem a hard squeeze you'll feel the fibers crunch and they will bend nicely like a kinked garden hose. Don't keep bending it, let it be and it'll heal, bend and all. There I go rambling again, I'm sure you have it under control. Very well done and keep up the great work. :D
Thanks Shovelhandle, you almost spelled my name right!
I think I understand what you're saying Oc. Keep the lights even with the tops of the plants, even if some of the plants are shorter than others.
I haven't tried bending over the tops by pinching them first. Its a bit late now, but definitely something I should do during the next veg. Id be afraid to mess up the buds at this point.
The girls were definitely thirsty tonight. I needed to water yesterday, but I didn't. Camara (the first plant) always shows the signs of wilting first... as you can tell by the pictures. So, tonight the girls each got a gallon of water with 1 tablespoon of molasses in each. They should be happy by tomorrow morning.

The clones need to be moved. They're getting too big too fast... Tomorrow I need to figure something out!

I use the T-5HO 54 Watt four lamp for side lighting to suppliment the MH in veg and HPS in bloom. I use the T5 blue 6500K spectrum for veg and swap to the warm white for the first half of bloom. Now I'm at week nine of bloom and I've been using the blue again (hps and T5 side lights). I read that this helps increase trichome developement. We will see...
I've had a couple of complete grows using T-5 and they actually worked out very well. Looks like you're on your way to a beautiful harvest with your set-up. Good luck on the final product.
Sho
Shov, can you provide a link to where you read switching back to blue lighting helps with trichome development? I haven't read this anywhere. It seems possible that when using an HPS light with a T5 light, the addition of blue lighting could add to your final product, however I'm not sure it would help when using only T5 lighting (and no HPS lights). I can't help being a bit of a skeptic by nature... it's part of my job in real life.Quote:

The buds really keep growing and growing on all of the main stalks. I think eventually they'll just cover the stem completely for a few inches.
