Mate this is a seriously nice grow, just read the whole thing through. Without tryin to sound offensive this is my inspiration cos you make it seem quite easy but they look amazin. Once I move I'll be growin White widow thanks to this. Nice setup mate keep up the good work

Hey, that's awesome Podge! I've tried to break down what I do each day so that I can look back and the grow and relearn from my mistakes, and so that others who are new can follow what I'm doing. I think the only reason that I make it look easy, is because it really isn't that bad. If you can learn the signs of overwater and underwater, and you use a good soil, there isn't a whole lot to it. No watering, no nutes, nothin special today. Just checked on the girls for 5 minutes, took some pictures, and everything looks good.

Well it's Monday, and you know what that means. Picture day!
So, the girls got a full dose of nutrients today. That's 1 tablespoon of Grow Big and 2 teaspoons of Tiger Bloom in each gallon. They're drinking ~1 gallon per plant right now, so it makes things pretty easy with the 3 milk jugs.
In the past 3-4 waterings I haven't even bothered to check the pH, so I checked it today after adding nutes, and it's reading a bit low... around 6.0. I guess full strength nutrients drop the pH quite a bit, however I didn't alter the pH for the feeding. I want to see if it has any effect on the plant. I'm really not worried about ruining the grow. I just want to experiment and see what happens and learn. In 3-4 days if I see nute burn or pH problems, I'll know to scale back next time.
One other thing I'm noticing is that the bottom leaves of each plant are starting to die back. This makes sense, since they aren't getting much, if any, light down there. I just make sure to pick them up off the dirt or pluck them off if they're almost dead so that they dont lay in the soil and create a mold environment.

I did a little more research, and at 77 Degrees F which is about the average temperature in a grow room, the T8's perform their best, giving 100% light output. The T5 HO gives out 90% at that same temperature, because like you posted it's best operating temperautre is 95 Degrees F.
It's about lumens, output....not PAR. I would research it...but, I don't know what I am doing half the time....:stoned:
This looks sweet man... Those bud sites are looking good. The bottom fan leaves will start yellowing with the progression of the flowering process...

Dutch, you're right. I've read in several places that the T5's output the best at a higher temperature, however, even outputting only at 90%, they're still putting out more lumens/watt than the T8's operating at 100%. Make sense?
So today I did some cutting on Scarlet again. I'm trying to keep her as trim and neat as possible so that all the bud sites get a lot of light. Bye bye fan leaves! Any idea what I should do with all of these? I think it's a bit too early to make anything out of them...
