AK-47 in E&F - rockwool/clay medium (First Grow Log)
Alrighty, here are the pics of the clones. I picked up some Pro-Mix seeding/potting soil that already had perilite & vermiculite in it. I don't think it really has any fertilizer in it though cause it says to start feeding nutes 2-3 weeks after transplant.

Bert,
I would guess that the two sick looking ones haven't rooted. I would give them all a good water with straight tap and put the sick looking ones back under the dome, keep the humidity up, they may still make it. I would think that you should be seeing some roots on the other 4, pdq.
Thats the stuff (the soil), you can add nutes later when required.
Are the 2 sick ones from the same mom?
You should be pleased with yourself!

The two on the left are from the back, the two in the middle are from the middle, and the two on the right are from the front. The front plant is my runt and the back plant is the biggest. The middle one has been pretty sturdy.

Good stuff bert, you will definately get one of each for moms, misssion accomplished!
Off for the weekend! :rastasmoke:

@subzero - enjoy your weekend!
Ok everyone, couple things. Today I swung by the grow store and picked up some Hydrozyme and Liquid Karma. Also did a reservoir change out so I put that in for this week and I'm sitting at [email protected] with 3/4 strength bloom, full strength Ionic Boost, the LK, and the zyme. I don't think thats too bad. I did some reading up and such on the nutes and it seems that the LK specifically was recommended over and over again as a good addative, and specifically mentioned as something that should be used alongside Ionic so I thought I'd give it a shot. I don't know if I'm going to be able to tell the difference or not because I've not been this far into a grow before but I figured it wouldn't hurt.
Here are weekly pictures I just got done taking, have a look see!

Lookin' real good bert! nice pics.
I have used cannazyme but not hygrozyme or liquid karma. The lk looks like good stuff but without really searching, it is not readily available over here. I will maybe look into it a bit further, we will see how you get on with it!
Just worth a mention, don't use h2o2 with either product (i read that lk is great for rooting and thought you might mix it with some hp next crop).
It will kill the benificials in the organic solution.
There is another product that you may find usefull called "bud rot stop" not sure if you can buy it over there but it is an organic preventitive solution to bud rot that is a foliar spray. It can be used right up to harvest and works great on large buds that are susceptable to bud rot. Google it you may find an available alternative. I wouldn't be without it.
Your well on your way now!

@camoxnhx - Hope I can keep it up lol.
@subzero - Thanks! I picked up the hygrozyme (its basically the same as cannazyme) to keep my root systems and stuff healthy for the next month but I plan on using it throughout the whole cycle for my next set of clones that I'll take off one of these mothers instead of h202 during the veg because as you said I do want to use the LK through the whole growth cycle as well. I've just started feeding nutes to the mother-clones cause their tips started turning yellow on me. Hoping to they will turn around from this budding thing sooner or later. I spent some time at the grow store looking at different nutes and didn't see anything to stop bud rot. My grow store is pretty good about ordering stuff for me as well so next time I'm in there (shouldn't be too long they are getting me some hard water Ionic) I'll see what they can do. I did order myself a 60x-100x pocket microscope though lol. I just had a little hand held one that had a small retical for 10x.

hey gents!
look at those buds! here they come! im glad things are going well.
it was quite a bit of work cutting and cleaning the grape ape but man...talk about good bug! purp to the point that some tops look black. ive got the black rose of cairo here in nor-cal. looking like 1.4 per 1000hps...about 700g i guess.
a couple of things; i have seen the flowering cycle prolonged about 5 days with a 4 week veg rather than a 2 week veg. my buddy with the over vegged plants went 5 week veg and i will know what the flower time is in about 4-5 more weeks. veg time does effect the flower time but not by much.
the 40/60 is a good way to figure out a general cut time. a week this way or that, but my 8-9 weekers normally stretch for about 3 weeks. after that the buds are well set and they may grow a little taller over the next week or two but nothing like the speed they started with...which is the "stretch phase". so a 3+ week stretch will be about 5+ more weeks until their ready to cut. my sour d stretched for 4+ weeks and took a total of 11+ weeks of flower. sub is right though, they gain a lot of weight in their last few days so cutting just a little early can really cost you.
as for curing, i dont wait until the stems snap. if you are trying to draw out the moisture, that is where it would come from. if they are dry enough to snap there is nothing left to draw out. i dry until they feel crunchy on the out side and have a little squish in the center and the stems still have a little bend to them. then de-bone the stems, at this point they can over dry very quickly. seal them in glass jars, a one gal jar should be able to hold 200-300g, or food grade containers. if they are not food grade they can pass along a plastic smell. store them in a dark place until the small dryer buds and the wetter tops have equalized in dryness somewhat. then air out the buds until they feel crispy again, then seal up, then air out... until you reach the cure youre looking for. never seal it up and forget about it or the whole jar will mold. it seems to increase the smell by leaving the larger sugar leaves on the bud rather than pre trimming. I never use paper bags, i think they take away from the overall smell and one time i used one that had a funky smell to it and fucked up about a 1/2lb. i'll never use them again. this is just my way. i started with someones cure method and over the years have changed things that i thought made for a better cure.
my BC looks great at 10 days post flip. about to put in the scrog as soon as im done trimming. BC babies have popped and ive made some more. this time im only using the dome for a few days as the heat mat and the dome keep the humi up around 90% and the cubes never get a chance to dry out. took the dome off for 15min yesterday, 24hrs after cutting them, with no wilting. today it comes off for 30min.
well im getting back to work. i fucking hate trimming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good to "see" yall!
AK-47 in E&F - rockwool/clay medium (First Grow Log)
Hey good to see you again ICBH!
Of note...my back plant, some pistils here and there have turned orange and kinda shriveled up, not alot but enouph buds have this on them, mabye 1 or 2 pistols per bud have this happening.
I'm not sure how I want to cure these as of yet, the paper bag seems pretty easymode but I don't have enouph experience to know what the effect will be, if I'll like it, etc.
Man that LK makes everything look dirty! Geeze.
The clones don't seem to like have the humi dome off them still...after 14 days after being cut is that a bad thing? I've been watering them regularly (twice a day) and started them Sat. with 1/4 strength Ionic Grow and the recommended dosage of LK (3 Tsp./Gal.). Every time I take that dome off though they get all wilty on me. Some of the tips of started turning pretty yellow, if you ya'll wanna see some more pics just let me know. I think later I'm going to put that dome back on.
