Glad I can help weedy!!!!!! I did A LOT of research on cannabis and cancer. Call me crazy, but I FULLY believe it works. The mice reference you made is one of the examples I read. Granny has a lot of good info on her "list" thread probably. Ill find a link for ya.

I personally.....even if I had PERFECT lungs.......could not smoke the amount of cannabis daily that I can ingest when eating. So smoking it isn't enough of a dose......you must ingest a larger amount regularly.

2. My understanding is that THC itself is only one of many compounds in cannabis so perhaps it is NOT the cannaboid that blocks the receptors in question. (complete guess here) I know there have been many tests run with Marinol (pure thc) but what if that were NOT the actual cannaboid that was needed for blocking? What if it were one of the many OTHER cannaboids in the weed?

3. What if you need to use them in conjunction with standard chemo......they simply block certain receptors, which then allow the chemo meds to do their job more effectively. Does this at make sense to anyone?

Weezard if you read this....how much ganja do you ingest daily and how? Maybe I should start a thread asking..........

A million and one "what ifs"? But I find myself wondering..........all thoughts (even laughing at) welcome. :)

hey girl, I think you might have hit the nail on the head BOOM SMACK one shot....My Father in law used Marinol in the past for his M.S. it Didn't do as much for him as smoking...so What you've said about ingestion, I think is the big factor...Even though I'm not a doctor, I do play one on ....?....some things are better left unsaid....

Aside from the issue of my own Swelled Head Syndrome.....the scene is fine. :D

I'm very sure we will be hearing more from the unconcious C.....but will take our ribbons and hold them loftily for now. We did the hard part.....we're damn well going to soak up the good parts as well. :) :thumbsup:

That's why I turned down the chemo and the radiation after the surgery.
Well, to be accurate, the chemo is not an option, and the radiation can cause symptom that I won't even talk about in mixed company.
So, Ganja went from my bffl to my "clutching straw".
Always been a heavy smoker. 40+ years.
Nowadays, you could call me a weed hound.:D
I can't really give a number or amount, I have several grades of medication from my garden, including hash.
Basically, I start early with high grade buds and escalate from there. The phrase, "ripped to the tits" comes to mind.:stoned:
By 7 pm, I'm so baked, I can watch television!
Then I break out the good stuff!:stoned::stoned::stoned:
Basically, if I didn't grow, there's no way I could afford to do this.
Will it help? I sure as hell hope so.
If not, well, "the light was better over here", ya?:D

defiantely not far fetched.
eastern culture has utilized 1000s of plants for 1000s of years for medicinal purposes.
theres years of research that should have started decades ago.
unfortunately, the free thinkers arent usually in charge.
