That's when I'd get the seedlings going. But around here, unless you;ve got a greenhouse, you can't put anything out until May 1st or it will get all frostbitten. I think I'm going to build a hoophouse this spring for my beloved peppers... mmmm!

Yep... Def. going to have to get a garden going for next year. Plants are too fun to just grow 1 species.
Can you LST garden plants for any beneficial gain?
Also, You top between the 4th and 5th nodes (for MJ)?
Hey, Stinky. How was 'your' break? ;) Hope everything is well. Will hit u up on the hot box soon when I set up mine. :D
I love peppers. I used to grow habaneros, cayenne, and a bunch of others. Strawberries, cantelopes, tomates (of course), small bananas, and some grafted tree the was supposed to produce like 4 or 5 different kinds of fruits...I never saw it to the end.
Be spicy...!

I don't know about LST'ing garden plants per se, but if I had to start somewhere it would be training my tomatoes diagonally so the plant gets more light. But the plain boring tomato-stake method works okay for me!Quote:

F[r]og, I see those silly multi-fruit trees in garden catalogs all the time and have yet to see one work the way it's supposed to! Kind of curious though... did it have like 5 different colors of flowers in spring too?
Hey Stinky, put 20 of your off spring in 2 days ago and 16 are down under now.
I like spicy chilies, HabaƱero, Vietnamese and so on, what do you recommend for a fairly easy grow, and should I throw them into the 24-7 cab with 175MH, or the 18/6 cab with the 400MH cab or the 12-12 room on the sides of the 1K's???
I know that some vegges grow best under 18-6 threw the whole cycle and with things like the HabaƱero low N and lower amounts of water with higher heat will help to produce a hotter taist, any little tips???

I've got mine under 12/12 stuck in around the sides of the 1000HPS coverage area... For easy, there are these little almost triangular or heart-shaped chilies about an inch to an inch and a half long, and maybe 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter, I have NO clue what they are but I got seeds fromo someone and they are indestructible and yield a lot of fruit indoors... never tried the 18/6 thing since I've only got 2 rooms plus my cloning closet... but they definitely like the heat! Only problem seems to be with aphids. But I have NO clue about the fertilizer... they get fish emulsion mixed in the soil, and bloom ferts with their water, and I haven't heard any bitching out of them!
Miss Stinky-
I have to say that your grow log is truly inspiring, in fact I've started my own grow because I was so impressed by your results. (Of course I don't expect the results you had.) I just wanted to thank you for sharing your work, it's so rare to be able to learn from a true pro.
Whats up Stinky I got your e-mail saying you were staying around and it seems you have many others around here are happy to hear your staying too. I'm Stony everywhere else just so you know who it is. I should be getting my log together in the next day or so. Your judgement is respected so let me know what you think. I'll be running the same grow on the other site as well so if i'm not here i'll be there. See ya around
Glad you decided to stay. This place just wouldn't be the same with a little less stink.
ditto
I can't tell you how many times ive seen the words
