Ready to buy Light for flower closet. I really like the low heat of T-5 & Led
Thinking either 4' x 8 bulb T-5 -or- current version of the "Procyon" 90w
Been told the T-5 is to weak for flowering??
Also.. R there ufo's that work 90w????

T5 works fine for flowering, though if you want HUGE plants you are likely better off running the tubes vertically rather than just hanging them over the plants.Quote:

Thanks for input. My only concern with LED off Ebay is getting one thats
more like a spotlight.. as opposed to a broadcast.. Almost pulled the trigger
on one with cree lights usa? I think.. at the bottom in small print
said is was good for up to 2 plants.. figured it was spot light type..

Feel like I cant go wrong with the "procyon" but,Expensive..
Any info on "haight" LED lights would be nice..

pulled the trigger on a 90w tri band Led with Wide angle led"s 187.00 Del.
"Htg supply" Ebay If u get a chance/ read the info for the light they are selling , see what u think. They have Led link on the site..

My T5HO lights are from HTG - I'm quite familiar with their lineup, and also their slightly incorrect marketing and 'facts,' as I have had to discover first-hand from products they say they 'are OUR lights.' I had to ditch their tubes and go with some specialty AgroMax bulbs.Quote:

Thx for all the input, As long as my plants will gro...I know things r rarely as good as they state. But,, I hope it holds me over till I can upgrade to a procyon
or a haight light.. I really hope it has wide angle led;s.. do not want a spotlight.

i have procyon's expensive and they only hit 635nm and 445nm...great grow light....my lights are 3w diodes and 90* beam angle :thumbsup:
here are some pics of a few things related to our hobby that i got in China!:D
1. water pipes with attachment to hold a joint! i think the stem may get clogged quickly but oh well!
2. just a metal pipe..but it proves they know what its for! :D
3. my favorite find...actually my mom found it and i wish they would have picked up a few more...a little glass bubbler for smoking a joint and it fits perfect in the palm of your hand!:smokin:
4. hand carved jade joint holders...like these also..very cool...at least i feel cool with one in my hands...haha!:jointsmile:
Bet ya got em dirt cheap too.... that little1 is cool.. Cant wait to get my LED
