Calling out to DreadedHermie for a game of "stoner chess"
OK
Touched down long enough to read their wiki with it's grade school notation.
I think I see the error of your ways;
The KIA starts with e4 and d3.
Or, in growed-up.
P - K4 -- P - Q3.
You skipped dem. they are the foundation and defense of da whole shebang.
As for Black's response being irrelevant, I disagree.
Shall we see?
Wanna start over?
Keen for the slaughter?
Your call my friend.
Aloha,

Maybe. I really want to see how this attack is supposed to work. There's a series of moves called King's Indian Defense that I think is more common. maybe a similar thing, just done by black instead(?)
But I haven't seen a description of KIA (with the pawn moves) like what you're saying. Just:
1. Knight
2. pawn out of bishop's way
3. bishop out of castling's way
4. castle
Now I know wiki is not any kinda final answer on anything. But the above sequence does have an authentic 'smell' to it, somehow. It also fits the given description of 'hypermodern school' play, in that it doesn't attempt to control the center with pawns. (Of course, that description continues, to explain center control is achieved via long-range pieces, which this sequence of moves isn't doing yet.)
Where's that description you found, that includes those 2 pawn moves?
Let me try to figure how to show you where I've been reading.

Here's where I was getting this stuff.
You ran off my knight with a pawn last time I tried this. There is obviously something awry with their interpretation. If you can get a pawn to (your) K5 in less than 5 moves, white can't protect that knight.
Worse, white has forfeited center control. AND, I am "in my own way" and have no long-range control, either.

The King's Indian Attack (KIA) is a system of development that White may use in reply to almost any Black opening moves. The characteristic KIA setup is 1.Nf3, 2.g3, 3.Bg2, 4.0-0, 5.d3, 6.Nbd2, and 7.e4, although these moves may be played in many different orders. In fact, the KIA is probably most often reached after 1.e4 when White uses it to respond to a Black attempt to play one of the semi-open games such as the Caro-Kann, French, or Sicilian, or even the open games which usually come after 1.e4 e5. Its greatest appeal may be that by adopting a set pattern of development, White can avoid the large amount of opening study required to prepare to meet the many different possible Black replies to 1.e4.

That quoted section is goofy. "Characteristic" is 1. Nf3, but "usual" is just a transposition from an open or semi-open game? :wtf:
This is starting to read, "Get your pawn out to K4 FIRST, and if you notice your opponent is asleep at the wheel, do a quick kingside castle."
I guess the part that's got me curious is that dang fianchetto. KN2 seems like an ineffective place to have white's bishop. Even if I move the knight out of the bishop's way, it'll still take another move to develop the bishop--otherwise he's just pointed at well-protected pawns. (This happened before, too.) But this KIA thing was popular for a long time. There must be a way the thing untangles itself for it ever to have been considered useful. THAT'S what I wanna see.

Exactly!
The fianchetto is best posed late in the opening.
Once all the Ps have been dotted, and da eyes have been crossed.
And is best from the queen's side with a king's side castle

First google hit said;
"...The KIA is considered a solid opening choice for White, although less ambitious than many more popular openings. Though rarely used at the highest levels except to avoid certain pet lines, it is extremely popular at the club level, because it is easier to learn than other openings that require memorizing specific move orders to avoid outright losing positions.
White's most common plan involves a central pawn push, e4-e5, leading to a central bind, kingside space, and concrete attacking chances on a kingside-castled black king...
Geeze! Deliberate obfuscation?
Black's resourcesâ??more queenside space for exampleâ??are not to be underestimated. In fact, this asymmetry often leads to violent middlegames and neatly constructed mating nets involving the sacrifice of multiple pieces..."
I did da red highlight, but not da underline.
So, start ovah, again, and keep dat in mind?
But, yes, It makes a very beeg difference what Black responds
.:D
"And just how that irrelevant got into my pajamas, I'll nevah know." -Groucho, sorta
An' youse two 'utes was right 'bout da bong.

Weez, is that the new bong--the sub for the out-of-stock model? The first pic you posted looked looked like the bong had built-in led effects lighting. I assumed that was just creative studio lighting for the ad shot, but maybe not. We could sell aftermarket led bong-lighting kits! Maybe with an onboard ignition source (which actually makes sense)....
Kinda disapointed in the esthetics of da foot-long.
But, you could hammer nails with it.
Not gonna complain, if the other stuff I ordered is "as advertised".
If it's all like this one, I'm liable to ruin someones day at da pipe store.;)
'course I could just add some blue fluorescent dye to the water and fire up the black light.:cool:
I'm on-board for the ignition source, though.
Small container of NaOH, W/an aluminum wire feed will give a steady source of Hydrogen gas.
The flame is very hot, but almost invisible.
A little sodiun chloride doping will turn the flame bright yellow for safety, yah?
And now ya got a Bubbabong:rastasmoke:
Sunday morning wake n bake.

I'd read that before! That's what got me excited in the first place, I think...Violence, multiple sacrifice, real MAN'S chess. I'm gonna lobby for making the pawns "camp followers" or some other kinda sex object. Cheerleaders, maybe....Chess has the killin' action, we just need to add some tight skirts to make this game more widely appealing. And maybe some space-aliens, too... nasty kine. I think I'm gonna make the knights space-aliens, who can dimension-jump. That'll explain their unique abilities. And my pawn row is gonna look like a Vegas show line.
So, let's start over.
P - K4
Lovely, isn't she? :stoned:

3 old ones, (One almost went through a dog.)
And 4 new ones
The li'l gold one is superb.
Gonna be my new favorite.
All top quality. And 1/3 of retail!
The Digital vape looked crappy.
Indeed, the whip hose IS crappy, but it's the first time I've tasted the spiciness of the bud and the first time that I've enjoyed the medical benefits to the fullest.
So that's why folks pay $250 for da kine vape.
Beats the hell out of a bong.
I paid $60 for da vape.
Prolly cost 'em all of 12 bucks to assemble, pack, and ship. :)
Still, I'm a happy camper.:rastasmoke:
