And when you're not pulling on the J, where does the smoke go? Yep, into the air. Bye, bye THC. With a bowl, you can cap it off and keep the smoke from escaping after a toke. And the resin isn't wasted. When you get a good buildup of it in the bowl, you scrape it out and get high all over again. Plus, with a bowl, there's no burnt fingers and you don't have to worry about rolling technique or running out of papers. Just pack and toke.Quote:

If im at home just chillin or in a house, i totally want a bowl. BUT if im outside or anywhere else i want a joint, ya got me?
Which is precisely why you pass it, so that when you arn't hitting it somebody else can.Quote:

Whatever is lost in the air as smoke is probably made up for by not having to repeatedly re-light and expose the herb to more heat than necessary.
As for resin, you can't scrape it all, THC degrades; resin is basically the by-products of marijuana smoke, CBD and a meager amount of THC. Hell if you like bowls and you like to smoke resin whaatever but a MAPS/NORML study has shown joints to be very efficient.
Perhaps you should reread that study:Quote:

But if I was worried about that, I wouldn't be smoking in the first place. Heh.Quote:
The percentage of total THC delivered to the user is called the THC transfer rate. The unfiltered joint scored surprisingly well in smoking efficiency, coming in second place with a transfer rate close to 20%. The portable waterpipe did slightly better, and the bong slightly worse. The other devices did notably worse. The vaporizers and electric waterpipe did especially poorly, with transfer rates less than one-third that of the top three devices.
No need to reread it, you just proved my point: joints are very efficient  and healthy!
But bongs are more efficient. Screw healthy. Heh. ;)
ok all of this is a matter of opinion so there's no point in arguing about it....(if yal weren't then mybad but it seems to me like yal are going at it like i dunno...husband and wife or somthing lol) so lets just go smoke both right now and forget about the question....with me doesn't really matter (i do have a preferance tho and it is bowls hands down) how it gets in my lungs in the end, just the fact that it does.... there are times when joints are more appropriate.....i.e. smoking with friends because homedude did have a point the same weed of the same exact weight will burn faster in a bong because of the repeated relighting and extenguishing of the cherry.....and if you got a really big bowl (if metal such as a liberty bell) you are going to end up wasting atleast 3 or 4 hits with all the excesive lighting joints are also better (my opinon) where a bong/pipe would be just to noticeable. if i'm by myself or if i just feel to lazy it's always better (once again my opinion) to just pack a bowl and be done with it.... i don't know how yal are but if i happen to be smoking a j by myself and i'm already stoned i'll put the bitch out...and that too will waste atleast a hit.... just another example of weighing the advantages/disadvantages.
"Disappointingly, waterpipes performed uniformly worse than the unfiltered joint. The least bad waterpipe, the bong, produced 30% more tar per cannabinoids than the unfiltered joint. Ironically, the pipe with the electric mixer scored by far the worst of any device. This suggests that water filtration is actually counterproductive, apparently because water tends to absorb THC more readily than noxious tars. Like the waterpipes, the cigarette filter also performed worse than the unfiltered joint, by about 30%. Researchers speculate this is because cannabinoids are exceptionally sticky and adhere to other solids. Hence, any filtration system that picks up particulates is likely also to screen out cannabinoids."
Joints and blunts will always outsmoke bongs and bowls.
