TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
Well wah.......:(
At least I can make a bunch and water everyone at once.
One question I forgot to ask my hydro guy specifically (but questioned him generally awhile back) about using products like Cannazym and Rhizotonic and he told me that you basically use them the same way.....add them to your water when you water.
Stinky would you NOT use these product this way? Would you use them differently in soil? I need to go study the package........

Damn hound, your plants are looking premo...
i have a question for people who know alot of diffrent weeds by name
See i got this weed a while back, and damn it was the best high EVER (for what i want) it was this beautiful clear high that just let me explore my mind and i didnt burn from it just faded.
Anyone know what it might be ?
I have 2 seeds that i somehow managed to have in one bag, plan on planting them
i self dubbed it the scholar weed, and if i ever grow it thats what ill call it.
oh and how long can seeds stay for ? technichally forever right, because they are not being germed?
sorry for questions that are sort of off topic and thanks for any help

Aka the New Improved Fang and company. :D The span of one weeks' growth at the higher nutes. I think we're seeing a difference both Fang 2 AND the Master Kush.....anyone else think so too?

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
This girl has been a pretty interesting plant and is a great example of "limping' a plant through to (hopefully!!) finish.
She's DEFINITELY very picky......no nutes over 850 ppm and her roots are having issues but she's still plugging along and building bulk. According to Greenhouse this is a 10-11 week finisher and she appears to us to juuuust be starting to get a brown pistil here and there so two more weeks may be just about right.
This plant has a very rich strawberry smell....delicious really and a plant (kind of like catpiss) that really does smell like it's supposed to.
We can't WAIT to actually try her.

Yes she looks a lot bigger than she is. Her buds are quite fluffy and not dense at all...not a lot of weight when finished but should be a terrific high.
Interestingly Greenhouse recommends growing that particular plant in soil over hydro and promise that the taste and smell are much MUCH better when grown in soil than hydro so we may have to try that soon. I also read that unchecked that particular strain can grow to 10 feet tall.

Hey Rocky thanks for stopping by the log. :)
The plant you're describing kind sounds like the power plant.....which we have not tried yet (we have a few in bloom but they won't be finished for a few more weeks.
Any power plant users think it sounds familiar? Let me see if I can get a photo of them in bloom.

I find it hard to believe, since it's easier to flush properly in hydro. I guess you can let us know how that works out, maybe. I find it especially hard to believe after my first real soil harvest compared to my hydro harvests, but I suppose it's not inconceivable that one variety might produce better results in soil. Just unlikely IMO.
mmmm, strawberry haze, sounds delicious.

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
Well I think you'd have to define "better" really.....improved taste and smell don't necessarily equate with larger yield and it would be up to the grower to decide which they wanted more perhaps.
I WILL say that taste aside...the smell is heavenly!

Welcome to growing Sativas, they take forever to mature, are fussy eaters, and they cause growers to worry... but it is WORTH IT! :D

Hey Wh:thumbsup:
You are really putting the time in.. You have lots of strains and experiments going on over their..:thumbsup:
Everything is looking really Good:cool:..
What strain is that they say Soil is better then the HYDRO?
Hey have you (or anyone) ever tried Over Drive? I just ordered some last night should be here late next week... My local Hydro Shop does not sell AN!! I don't Know why....
10-11 Weeks Feels like an eternity... When it comes to the weed as long as I have smoke and the girls are protected time does not bother me!!! Seems like she will be worth the time you have into her!!!
Good Luck GL1

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
GL, if I were you I WOULD NOT add any bloom blasters to your garden right now, since your plants are already having some problems, and I don't think you have a safe volume of medium- just my hunch, and I have nothing but instinct to back it up.

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
I hear you Stink..
But really what do I have to Loose by trying a final boost in the End? The TEA helped out a lot w the soil I ordered more for all feeding .. I think it is the CO2 screwing with the front beds but I can not put a finger on it. The unit is spark ignition and is up Mnt to the ceiling.. I added another fan by the CO2 like you suggested Stink and I made the CO2 so it only runs 11 Hrs see if it makes any changes. Trying some weird shit Now!!! As far as feeding they are now doing OK hit them as high as 1400 w/o any issues 2 days w/ a flush in between. Just taken it SLOW I hit the front beds with another Foilmicro Spray Yesterday...
Sorry for rambling WH
Ill be posting up some shots tomorrow it is crazy how the front beds are YELLOW and the rears are GREEN LEAFS!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
Hey allrolls and d4.....thanks for stopping by and checking the babes out. Actually d4 she just smells like strawberry.....and more like strawberry "candy" than real fruit but you can't mistake it for anything other than that.
I grew the strain catpiss twice......and those plants REEKED like you wouldn't believe!! I was just making the comparison between the two strains both actually smelling exactly like their name implies.
-
TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
WH, I'm all about some strong smelling plants, but catpiss? Dang. I just don't think I could handle any plant that smelled like catpiss - that has to be 1 of the absolute worst smells in the world. If the high was worth it though, I don't think I would complain too much.
I am always impressed by your plants! I can't look at my own plants the same way when I leave your post though - probably why I don't come around all that often - j/k of course. I can't wait to see the final weight on Fang2, and I hope you get that LB you've been gunning for!
I hope all's well with you and yours. Take good care out there, lady!

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
wow hound, that haze looks great.
im waiting for mine to bulk up, i think im in week 15 or something totally stupid. thought about rippin em out 10 xz but then she gets more and more pistils, its taxin me patience
ironically, i think youll be trying this out before i am,LOL
if the majority of the flowers do bulk up tho.
ill be buried in the stuff
it will definately grow if you let it, it went crazy on the lil screen i put over it.
almost like tryin to hold it back, made it grow more aggressively, weird.:stoned:
and whats with the cool new tweeks to the board?
kinda cool:cool:

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
Hey good to see you Rock!! Glad your girls are going along well!! I seriously don't think it will be more than 11...and probably close to ten because she seems to be turning kind of fast now and more pistils are browning. Really a WONDERFUL smelling plant.

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
So these two are sister that have been on the exact same protocol and they couldn't be more different healthwise. Thoughts folks??
We've done everything we can think of with the sickly plant.....and not one thing has changed either the slow rate it grows at or the terribly shaped leaves it has. Here's the list:
Increase nutes
Decrease nutes
Change nutes daily
Flush plant
Add Cannayzym
Triple and Quadruple check ph daily.
Even the roots seems happy and healthy.......
Both seeds germed on 6/21/08.
WHAT
THE
FUCK???? :wtf:

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
Sorry, that's sure a runt. I have no answer, except it happens to me sometimes. I think a lot depends on what kind of root structure she gets when she's first born. From one mother in identical conditions I had 4 normal plants, one giant, and one sick one. They all looked pretty much the same at 2 weeks old.
-
TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
i dont have any of the fragrance at all.
i dunno, i think i been cookin em a lil bit and maybe thats part of what slowed em down.
room temps have averaged between 80-90 almost all the time.
but i think i finally got that under control. i think the carbon scrubber was gettin clogged, about 6 months in service., disconected the filter and just venting out. should stay 75-85 now.
humidity has been around 50% on average

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
Stealth those DO look related for sure!! NOW you can tell they have some relatives around....BASTARDS!!
Opie may have a good point about runtiness and the roots....just looking at the plant I'd say its a root problem but we can't find it. We may not see the problem until AUTOPSY either but it just ACTS like a plant with crappy root uptake. X-crispi mentioned poor breeding and genetics which may be true as well. I tend to ask what I'm doing wrong first but this may be one we can't fix....:(
-

I autopsied the shit outta them and couldn't find anything...non of the bugs, nothing...the gnats were gone in a day or two, so it wasn't them....

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
Hey WH, hows tricks? I was reading the Dutch Master web site and found a recommendation for something we were talking about:
The best regime for feeding uses the 1 feed 2 waters method. Essentially you will feed ( as you normally do ) one day and then feed only fresh water for the next 2 days and then repeat the cycle over again.
Dutch Master
The don't say why, I guess we're just supposed to take their word for it since they've studied their nutrients. I assume they don't really mean just water for the next 2 days, but instead the next 2 waterings. I'm not sure I like this. During a shortish veg cycle they may only get fed once. And I've just always kind of thought that when you feed with your water, it actually takes another watering or two to get the nutrients down into the roots. Am I wrong about this? I'm mostly hydro, so I certainly could be.
By the way, if anyone has not browsed their site, you're missing out. There is a whole bunch of cool info there, even if you don't want to use the best affordable nutrients available.

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
The BS and MK are at day 36 bloom....and I believe Fang 2 is the largest plant we have every grown.....to date......and honestly appears about double the size of Fang 1. Also the largest MK plant (easily!) that we have grown as well.....she's pretty big but not quite the size of her sister.
Won't jinx anything...but you guys know that appendage between the shoulder and the wrist? Not saying it IS.....just saying it MIGHT BE fairly close. ;)
Right now we are running 1400w in the bloom room and trying to be as "canopy efficient" as possible. :D

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
Opie one of my AK's in soil is going on 800-900ppm every watering (and Yes Stinky we are making them their OWN new nutes and NOT using recycled hydro stuff ) and doing VERY well....no sign of nute burn as of yet. We'll see how close the soil girls' buds get vs the hydro girl (who was a week ahead and got harvested just today.)
Have you had any issues lately using liquid light? I keep encountering issues and was using it at no more than 2/3 strength twice a week; burned leaves mostly but it always seems the plant is healthy until I've used it a few times and then problems start. Maybe its just paranoia....

:thumbsup:Weedhound, thanks so much to take the time and share all this info with us! The project takes a lot of a busy person's time and to take the extra to share is so kind of you! I am busy trying to learn all I possibly can from you pro's and absolutely everything you share is very much appreciated!
I am begining to think that it just depends on the seed more than anything, as to how well it will do. One person I read, said one type grew fast for him and another said it was real slow! Like you, had 2 of same, treated same! So, a good seed is well worth it! My appreciation for your sharing! pr:hippy:

TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
The room IS looking quite nice these days if I do say so myself....:D
Shov you've got me itching to break out some original Haze seeds (16 week flowering period ) and actually use good old unsexed seeds (which is all we have......:wtf:) and sex them out later like a normal grower. The seeds are several years old so we'd like to try them and see if we can get any of them to grow. Soil of course..... not in hydro.
There are a few others in line for the "unsexed seeds" plan as well...including some Black Domina and Supe Silver Haze.
We're going to be harvesting two large plants soon and will be turning the SNL x NH's then as well and we intend to start two more SNL xNH seeds at the same time. Perhaps we should tackle BOTH plans and germinate HERDS of the little buggers at once.
As I mentioned.....we harvested an ak -47 clone (hydro) and a power plant clone in soil.....both from our " clone starter era" so no more than 40 grams from both plants combined. HOWEVER....we can't wait to try them BOTH finally!! Yay!! :woohoo:
PS....Stealth congrats on your catpiss aquisition. :D It's not JUST the smell of cats' piss....it's unaltered male cat pee smell which is the WORST smell by far. And it reeks ALWAYS.....when you grow it...dry it, smoke it....That's what in the photo below.
PSS....I've heard of a straing called Dogshit....anybody ever.....???

Has anyone ever tried a strain called TRASH (TRAINWRECK X AFGANI X HASH PLANT) I saw some clones somewhere in the bay awhile back and thought it might be a good cross...
