GL..between 4-5 weeks (from seed) ...the church was 5 weeks in I'm pretty sure. The two I'm doing now GL (power plant, brainstorm) I'm letting veg for six weeks since I'm going to try for a pound a plant. I'll really truly be taking pics today so will update my redwood log as well.

So Mr Hound has been taking care of the plants for the past few days and I've just been taking quick glances. I looked semi-closely  yesterday.....and was HORRIFIED to discover what I thought was POWDERY MILDEW ALL OVER the buds of my white widow. I even looked at some of them under the microscope (we bought this cool kids microscope to check trichs with...it ROCKS!!) and its ALLLLL trichomes!!! :woohoo: I grew White Rhino before but this but that stuff never got a "snowy" look like these do. Pretty amazing......and she AINT DONE yet!! :D :stoned::rastasmoke:
I took no less than 20.....no joke......and these are the only two that really came out anywhere decent. I'll try for a few more photos later and see if I can do any better. :wtf:
lol...i cant stop shaking when i try macro shots...again i say, DAMN WH...how the hell do you get those plants so damn big?!
they look lovely:thumbsup:

Don't think she'll be done by day 55 but that's ok......worth waiting for. :)
Great pix WH.... Your photography skill are improving... The plants look amazing, they seem to be real compact...

Wonderful plants, WH. I'd like to smoke some of them.

Ahhh, now THAT'S refreshment! Iceeeeee!
Your plants look better every grow- grow skills and camera skills both.
Nice plants as usual. I've just experienced total crop failure for my first time. Everyone should try it at least once.
Opie what the fuck happened? Total crop failure?? WHAT happened???
Is there any reason why you don't trim those plants down some so that the lower branches can get more light?
Tried to rep you w/my email but must have recently.....when I can rep you again........try repping me with yours....;)Quote:

PS....Don't listen to the growers who tell you trim everything off so the plant "can concentrate on the buds." It DOESN'T work that way......trust me. The plant uses ALL those extra leaves one way or another. Keep your trimming and pruning to a MINUMUM. ;)
i second that!!!!.....i cant rep you either WH!...lol, i got my ways, you will get my e-mail:thumbsup:

Didn't check on the plants for 3 days. They were great before, then completely dead when I looked in. A fan went out, but I don't think that's the main problem. I "winged it" mixing up nutes, and PH was too high. Either problem alone probably would have ended up OK, but the two together were too much for the girls to handle. Lesson learned. It sure would be nice to have loads of money so I can set all kinds of James Bond growing gadgets to be controlled and recorded by computer. A print out of temps and other conditions each day would be really cool. OK, I guess I'll set all that up before dinner.Quote:

They grow best by far if they can remain long-haired hippie freaks. Promise.Quote:

That sucks, Bub. Really. Is it as bad as growing a crop to harvest and getting everything ripped off? Either way, don't like to see it happen. Good luck in the future.

It don't get any better than White Widow...if it does...I don't want to know...:rastabanna:
Opie I am so sorry to hear this!! :( I'd have been IN TEARS!! I remember once a while back I overdid the fungus spray and lost part of a crop......turned out to be less than I thought it would but when it happened I was SURE it was half the crop. I FLIPPED out!Quote:

We have 2 new WW clones we just turned to 12/12 in five gallon buckets so I sure hope she lives upt to all the hype.
You guys really do think I make this stuff up.
I had the really interesting experiance once of hitting a big ol' bowl of late harvest WW pollen hash ( dry screened trichs) immediately before leaving Abraxas alone and attempting to find my hotel on foot ( a ten minute walk...)
Twenty minutes later...

I had to sit tripping in Dutch ( politely inquiring if I'm allright) for an hour before I could try for home base again.

Sorry, rambling, too much bubble for a week running- and we've barely touched the load...
Oooo.....can't WAIT! Sh'es coming along slow but steady. It's hard to judge amounts but there are buds everywhere popping out.
I'd say getting ripped off is much worse. Having my house ripped off twice in as many years has shown me the light, but I wasn't growing weed in that house. Thank God for home owners insurance.Quote:

Well losing your crop sucks. That's first off. Second....there IS something about how malicious someone has to be to steal someone else's grow. It DOES have an extra sour taste to it.

I DO think Rhizome just makes stuff up......ever noticed that about Rhizome? :D
I also DO wonder about homeowners insurance covering things......we had a similar situation yesterday....we blew a GFI outlet and before we figure out the problem there was some heavy discussion on calling an electrician.
NOW.....given that mmj is legal in CA......we would LOVE to hear peoples thoughts on what to do when you need an electrician in your grow room. Anyone had to deal with this? Would being state legal be enough protection? Thoughts?
PS....Found the GFI and reset....things ok but it gave us a LOT to think about.......
Rule of thumb is that your insurer will deny any claim they possibly can- and you'll have to go to court to try to collect. Are you comfortable talking about your grow in a courtroom? Knowing that DOJ doesn't care about state laws?
If you need an electrician, try talking to your local co-op to see if they know a reputable " friendly".
Thanks Rhizome.....i'll do that. Doesn't even sound like you made that one up. :D
These are my three WW clones....Sal in FFOF soil was just transplanted into a 3 gal container (because Stinky said to do this to your plants so I did.....;)) and topped for the second time. I'm trying to go for the "bush" shape thing which is the reason for the extra topping. She's doing great!.....especially for something in soil at our house.
The other two clones I vegged for a bit and have turned them....they are in day 8 of flower and doing well......but NOT anything exciting so far.
We started flushing this plant yesterday....no flush solution this time.....Opie has just plain taken the fun out my Flora Kleen :( :D
She should be done within a few days....no more than a week I'm sure.
As soon as this girl is done I'll bleach out that large 10 gal tub and stick that Brainstorm in it.....what do you think of THAT???
your a day behind me in flower! i cant wait!! that WB looks amazing...heavy too:thumbsup:
brainstorm=10gal......brain hurricane!
