Most overrated band?

The Rolling Stones are a good band, but I never get why they're always considered THE BEST. Bands like Zeppelin, Floyd and Aerosmith made a better sound and showcased much more versatility (most notably Zeppelin, who played everything from plain old hard rock to blues to reggae to soft and tender songs).

No, what he's trying to say is psychedelic music has progressed so much from the days of Pink Floyd. In comparison to the psychedelia coming out today, Pink Floyd is hardly psychedelic. Hey, Pink Floyd is a great band, but hardly the only and best psychedelic music out there. I listened to all their albums religiously when I was younger. They are a great band. But if you choose to get yourself stuck on Pink Floyd, well it's your loss.

Even in the days of Pink Floyd, they had competition, MC5, Strawberry Alarm Clock etc. Great psychedelic bands.

I suggest you pick up these records, Loveless by My Bloody Valentine, Tales Of The Inexpressible by Shpongle, In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel, Wonderful Rainbow by Lightning Bolt, Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven by Godspeed You Black Emperor or any live Phish album.

The psychedelia in these 5 records vastly differ in style and contrast. But you'll see how far psychedelic music has progressed Open your eyes a little to see psychedelic music other than Pink Floyd.

i always found Tom petty overrated. also, i agree with ac/dc and pretty much everything on manstream radio nowadays

If any1 went to ozzfest last year the one in west palm disturbed was talking about all the emo shit and reffered them as "taste makers" and got the hole crowd chanting "fuck the taste makers". I just cant stand listening to it , all of it sounds the same.

Zeppelin is the greatest thing ever and those who have spoken against them shall be struck down by the rock gods. Really the most overrated to me is fucking Metallica.
