Yeah, you're right about the monkeys. My bad. To my knowledge, the oldest anthropods were called Eosimias, and lived about 42 million years ago. Their fossils indicate they lived in trees and resembled monkeys, except they were smaller. Because the family hominids have an anthropoid ancestor, and the oldest primates like Eosimias were like monkeys, I think it is fair to say we evolved from a monkey-like ancestor that eventually diverged to monkeys and hominoids. Thats why I was under the impression we evolved from monkeys.Quote:
