Wish you'da left one in tact, so you could see the difference.

Doesnt...make..sense..

You are so correct but I had some help from a grower out of Oregon. I didn't dismiss you guys.... Again, they are all fairing well & the growth is off the scale. Again, Judging from pics taken last week & comparing today it's like night & day. Will not trim anymore as per my Oregon bud. But seriously.... All 4 show out of control growth!

1st Pic last week...... & Yesterday
i'm all for removing leaves gradually and mostly in veg, when they wilt. or to uncover a bud to maximize it's potential! but i think you over did it!
Hemporer:
C'mon bro.... Less than a weeks time. This is a technique employed by "Med 420" growers in Oregon.
Same plant....
The angle is a tad different but the plant remains the same.

The way i see it is there's 100 different ways to grow. As long as the end result is good weed that you are happy with, in the end, thats all that matters. Who cares whose method is better? This is Esteban's first grow so he has plenty of time to experiment which methods are gonna be better for him in the future. Its all about learning.
BTW plants look great man. Nice and healthy! Great job.

Awesome Bro, I feel validated.... Means A LOT TO ME COMING FROM YOU
:abduct:
Amen! And they do look nice, maybe a little weird without the fans, but nice buds so far!Quote:

Will certainly inform all as to the yield
Hemporer, Smoke, CanGrowIt;
How are your grows coming along?
It's going fine! But i"m not a big fan of posting pics my stuff on the net! I respect those who do it. But I dont think it's safe. If it is i would like to see proof. And to know if theres any law that protects free speech and those posting cannabis growing content on the net!
Hmmmmm
You are correct. Fortunately I reside a tad outside of the US. I believe posting a few pics will not do any harm. Personally I cannot live life feeling like a prisoner. Well that's my take on this precarious situation.

Dont believe the growth youve seen over the week, was because you striped all the fan leaves.
-They would have grown just the same, had you left em. However, I believe you may see some premature halt in growth, possibly some recovery, and hopefully not too bad, but airy-er buds.
The only time id be ...OK.... with stripping fan's is when people do it a week out from harvest.
-Still dont think it helps any, but by then, the bud's already around its peek.
Remember man, your first grow.. the plant knows how to grow itself....
Esteban1 do you want to learn a obscure growing technique to help reduce internode spacing? It helps maximize yield and reduces the space plants occupy. More plants yielding the same amount of bud as before in the same grow space means more bud for you.
Understood.....
& yea, I'm up to learning all things new & out there.
Ok here it goes: If nodes are distant from each other buds wont have time to bond together to form a bigger bud ( almost like a flower top). My friend showed me that technique and uses it on his grows showed it to somebody else that I know and it worked for him as well. Start from the begining of the branch(stem) and pinch/bruise internode littly, but be careful not to break the stems "skin" with your finger nails . You just apply a little pressure with thumb and index finger to reduce flow in the stem(internode) a little by causing bruising (dont crush it) . Repeat for each new internode/growth that comes out going up the branch(stem) . You only do this when the new internode is about 1 inch or close to your desired internode length( if you have enough space for finger and thumb that's a good sign). So this reduces node spacing. Because you temporary slow the growth of the internode. You will notice when you bruise the stem/internode it will swell up where you bruised it and make the stem bigger to compensate and push more juice/fluid up the stem, making the stem stronger. Dont over do it at first, it's a gradual process and make sure your plant is strong and healthy. Practice on one plant , just to get the hang of it. You never do tests/practice on all your plants. it's better this way!
Maybe you will like it, maybe you wont. But it's out there and now everyone can read it. So enjoy!
Hemporer:
Nice.... Will see if I can fit this in my next grow Curious.... I see that you are fairly new to this community.... You are also validated in your "Rating" with 3 bars next to your name?
when you like a post ,use the star in the bottom of the post window to boost reputation of other members!and if you are lucky they will do the same for you!
Thanks bro:
Was always wondering how folks received props /& they had only been on a site like a week?
Hemporer:
Gave you some props for the tidbit of info. Were you able to acknowledge some of my skills as well cuz I'm still known as an unknown entity!?
I have a few questions concerning "Reputation" on this site. I have seen peeps on this site for what..... 1 week & their rep is like 4 stars..... how can this be? Kinda feel that I might be deserving of some props but hey..... I'm cool with it either way, just wanted to get some info on this. Anyone out there willing to explain/comment?
Cheers & Happy Halloweenie
:abduct:
You rarely receive props for growlogs, mostly for answering questions and giving out info.
A lot of people get rep points for helping people with their questions. I mean if im having an issue with my grow and someone pops in and tells me what im doing wrong and it corrects the issue then i give rep. Thats pretty much how the rep system works. But to be honest, since the LIKE thing came around pretty much everyone uses that instead of rep. I think its cause its easier for people to find vs the rep.Quote:

Hey guys:
Thanks for the props & truly was just curious but totally understand & agree. Shit that makes sense to me is like Latin.

Big Props with or without the bars for all of the help getting me off the ground & Yup..... Not here for a popularity contest

Question:
I know that the kids are well into their final stages so here it goes. Judging from This pic would it be detrimental if I clipped a few of the bottom colas that are Not receiving a ton of light?
Thanx
[attachment=o279403][attachment=o279404][attachment=o279405]
:jawdropper:
Some people do just the opposite of that. They wait until the big buds (main colas, top flowers) are ready and harvest them and leave the smaller buds on the plant and keep them under the lights for a few more days so the buds get bigger and are worth harvesting.
That makes good sense:
Was told to do something similar... visa vie; Since colas mature at various times in development (Colas closest to the light source) THEY should be harvested 1st..... Then I suppose the ones that are in the middle & so on & so forth.
Forgot to mention that the harvest shold be done in stages occurring within a week. This info was explained to me by a grower in Oregon. Fairly simple process..... I think?
Will be doing just that.... Like ur style Hemporer****** Guys/Gals..... This is 1 plant. All of the kids are getting so heavy that I may need to utilize a stake to prevent from bowing. Ideas/comments always entertained

attempting to remove the colitas from the bottom. Only tried a 1 from each girl to get a feel. I am a few weeks away from the end product so we will see. Questions/comments concerning this procedure are welcome!
A lot of people do that. The only thing I want to had is dry the test bud properly like you would do when you normaly harvest. Speading up the drying process will only ruin the test and disapoint you before you really taste the final product.
Hemporer:
Thanks.... actually have them drying on top of the metal portion of the lights so they will just dry out in a few days or so? There is SO MUCH FRIGG'N CONTRADICTORY INFORMATION OUT THERE CONCERNING GROWING THAT MY HEAD IS ABOUT TO IMPLODE. Curious as to why there is a "Banned" under your name?
:S1:
So:
My question is this..... Fed the kids the scheduled "Heavy Feed" of Fox Farm nutes last week, the next feed like 5 days ago was a "Light Feed" & they responded so well that I gave them another "Heavy Feed" y'day morning & today they like gained another 5% mass!! No tip burns.... notta. Should I continue with feeding them on this schedule or will they succumb at some point? I know the feeding schedule schedule but it appears that depending on conditions.... visa vie "genetics" & other changing variables one may give the plants the nutes that they so desire based on the growth rate??
Thanx
