Or you could just buy a few cfl's and throw around the bottom of the plants and you wont have that issue anymore! lol They look awesome man! I can't wait to see them in flower.

im loving it. well done:thumbsup:
Yeah, I think I'll just let the yellow leaves die off. It'll make it easier to water since those bottom leaves are so low that they just sit on the dirt. All I really care about is having a good canopy at the screen level.
I'm getting antsy guys. I really want to fill out the screen more, but I also want to go to flower soon! Suggestions?

Here are the clones at 5 days. They still seem nice and green. There aren't any roots poking out the bottom of the cups, so I'm just misting the leaves with water daily and spraying the top of the soil to keep it moist. How long is this process supposed to take again?

It's been a while since I checked in and man the girls look great! I like how you are scrogging the peppers too!
As for the flower or not question, with the size of screen you have you might want to fill it in for another week max, but once the 12/12 hits there will be extreme stretch and they will fill in the screen quicker than you realise!
The clones should take 1-2 weeks average to root, so it's not long now!
Again, awesome work with the gals & super clean setup.
I would say you should flower asap and worry more about scrogging more in a later grow. You are running short on room and obviously it isn't going to a little harvest for you. That is just my 2c...
I really like how you are going about this grow. You are doing HELLA good for your first grow.

P.S. I don't know much about scrogging, but could you just lower your screen to fill it in more?
Thanks for the info red. I look at the clones every day, still no roots out the bottom.
n00b, I'm takin your advice. Tomorrow morning the lights go out. I'm doing the dark cycle during the day to help even out the heat, and the lights come on about 8:30pm. 12/12.
I installed the 3000k T5 bulbs today... so I've got four 3000k bulbs, and two 6500k bulbs in the 6 bulb light.

The girls are a little bit different color under the "orange" lights. I prefer their look under the 6500k bulbs.

Oh, and that skinny fan in the corner was only $9 at Walmart. It's a lot louder than the previous fan, but fits in the room a whooooole lot better and moves a lot of air. Definitely recommended if you're lookin for a new cheap fan.
Here's a question for anyone out there reading... If I cut off the large fan leaves, it would allow more light to get to the newer growth, which will probably be my bud sites eventually. Do you recommend getting rid of the leaves, or just leave em be?
I have cut a few of my leaves off after putting to flower and the spots that were uncovered have flourished... My three ladies have probably had 3 leaves cut off each. I didn't really want to, but the bud sites just weren't getting the light they needed and the leaves wouldn't stay bent back so I chopped 'em...
Everyone has different opinions, but the majority says not to cut the fans off...
The ladies look good, but they seem a little stressed. Did you notice any change after you installed the new lights?

Well it's Sunday.... ;)
Looks like I'll just go ahead and leave those fan leaves on there. I don't want the gas to go directly to the tires, I need that engine.
n00b, I'm not sure whatcha mean about them bein stressed. To me, they look as good as ever, but keep in mind this is my first grow so I might be oblivious to the obvious.

What scrogging does to your nice, straight, uniform, pretty plant stems... :(

The canopy is filling in slow but sure.

Possible deficiency or overdose of somethin? Purple spots on the stem.

...and finally, a pepper update. The girlfriend calls her Cheyenne the Cayenne. So clever that one...

The cool thing about the pepper, is that you can see the leaves on it get lighter and lighter green as you go down the plant. It really shows you that you gotta keep your plants as close to the light as possible without burnin em!
Note: I think I've found the bong I want to get. It's a delta-9, exactly like this one but maybe 2 inches taller and 7mm glass (so the salesman tells me). $110 at Venice Beach.

Tell me what you guys think!
