Hey shake,
Just my two cents but 7.2 seems abit high... most pH in hempy i've read about are running between 5.8-6.2
Hope things clear up for you and things go great
Is that 7.2 for just the RO water or your nute mixture! either way both are too high! like deleafer said the range is 5.8-6.2 anything higher and your gonna run into a lot of nute lockout problems.....seems like your already experiencing that as well....This should be ran like passive hydro or hydro.....soil ph ranges will cause all types of problems....Quote:

Maybe you could add a bit more info shake! Also. you running 50/50 perlite/vermiculite might also be causing problems....with not enough water retention! I never ran anything or seen anything saying 50/50 is a good mixture!
7.2 is the pH of the water before anything is done to it. i get it from one of those machines that dispense water at the grocery store and whatnot.Quote:

i adjust my nute mix to a ph of 6.0 or so, after they are added of course. i know hempys are a hydro system and should be treated as such. give your boy a little credit!
the 50/50 mix was just a starting point as i have read all kinds of ratios. killa you like the 4:1 (perl/verm) if i'm not mistaken. jrosek from IC and that thread you pointed me to likes 60/40 (perl/verm) if i'm not mistaken. so it was merely a starting point.
like is said, i dont' have to water them every two to three days. i can go a week or so between watering them. i've always just lifted them to see if they need water.
i have since recovered from the nute lockout/pH/molasses problems. the plants are looking totally healthy. i will get some new pics up tonight or tomorrow.
i do appreciate all the help and it sucks i can't get back to you guys sooner.
i'll be back later.

Glad to hear they are doing better  can't wait to see how the hempys do for you

Long time no talk. I haven't had a chance to go through your whole log yet but I'm curious why you switched the WH to soil.
We just popped a few WH's. They'll be going into hempy buckets soon.
Later,
McT
what's going on MC? glad to see you back on the boards! i hope all is well with you and yours.Quote:

(i do have a new meter!) so i will be playing with hempys again, just had to get everything right to do so.
learn from my mistakes my friend! good to see you again.
good growing!
