Bugs eating a big chew out of a leaf...kinda points to a big bug, like a grasshopper or cricket. Was the concert excellent? i just heard about the traffic so far, as friends live near the park.
Your girls are looking great.

i wanted to copy my thread i started today in the plant problems section into here, so any of you that are following, can also help me out with this problem. these pictures are from today (Aug. 27, 08)

i have been noticing over the past couple of days that a few of the bottom branches of my biggest plant have been looking as if they've been chewed on, and some are even completely gone. i'll include pictures, but does anyone have a solution to this besides a fence? at first i though it was deer that were eating at it, but seems unlikely, because its only one small branch that is tucked under the plant. there is also a branch that was bent by something. should i leave it and see if it heals? or should i just pluck it off?
i've seen on here that people talk about human urine working as a repellent, so i'll try it out, but im not sure if these suburban animals are at all scared of human scent. any help would be great, and would help me keep my crop safe through the end of the season.
here are the pictures, and i outlined in red the ones that are a little difficult to see at first.
thanks,
gianca

just a quick question. is it bad for the plants to take flsh pictures of them at night? i have noticed that there are many night pictures (which seem to be better quality pictures of the plants than pictures taken during the day) with flash posted around this site, and got me to thinking, wouldn't the flash mess with the plant? just stoned, and thinking. :hippy:
Hi Gi' how's it going--looks good with a few probs. People most likely will look at problem now, I hope! In your sign: Write, please check out my gro!
I have read that no one take's picture's unless the light is on, do not even open door and plan light schedule around lights, due to, I can be and most likely am wrong. I think I read it could do what you fear! They are sensitive little ladies, treat them with respect and get it back!
Bugs have been a big deal for you and now other critters. Hope u get the answer asap! Been following this and feel like they are my babies too! Since, I am not as good at it as you, I feel I have company! Thanks for putting it all out there for us! Hope this is not considered jacking your thread bro! I am still learning! thank
i just noticed this, but this is 2 pictures side to side, that were taken only 1 day apart. is this not ridiculous growth or what?
But I think it was Opie that pointed out "Lightening doesn't seem to hurt them."Quote:

The phytochrome timer will reset just fine after 12 or so hours of dark, so a flash or three shouldn't put 'em in a tailspin.
I'm guessing a lot of flashes, middle of the night, three night in a row? Probably not a good bet.:)
You wouldn't like it. Why would the girls?:D
Aloha,
Weeze
hey weez,
that makes sense. i might take a picture or two of my plants at night sometime to see how much better the picture comes out.
i'll go out back in a bit to take pictures, so i'll be back for an update a little later.

i just got back from taking pictures, so here they are. this time im going to show every plant, and at what stage of growth they are at.
these first 5 pictures are of the smallest two plants.
here are pictures of the topped plant.
it seems like it is growing at a much slower rate than the other plants. it is getting the exact same amount of water and nutrients as the other GrapeApe x Northern Lights, so i dont understand this. it is also the only onethat has purple stems.
maybe it has to do with the fact that its the only one in a pot?
here is the biggest of them all. she is growing at a ridiculous rate, and the crystals have just begun packing on. i'm thinking this one is going to be ready faster than any of the others, so she'll be the first to be cut down. there are at least 40 different bud sites that i have spotted, so im thinking this is going to produce the most herb.
pictures as follows:
1- whole view of the plant
2- big branch on left side of plant
3- cola of big branch on left side
4- big branch on right side of plant
5- cola of big branch on right side
