so plant #5 is about ready to start getting flushed. Nearly all the trichs are cloudy.
Tomorrow plant #5 will be getting 1 more light feeding and then I'll start flushing with 15-20 gallons of water once every 3-4 days for the remaining week and a half to 2 weeks.
Tomorrow I'll have full profile pictures like last time for each of the 5 ladies.
I'll also try to get some comparison pics since it's been about 2 weeks.
hopefully in a month I'll be able to give an initial smoke report on this matured plant. I'm really glad to be able to get this plant out of the way. it took up way too much room and it's cola's never did put on the mass I wanted. It's a relief to be able to utilize that light on my other plants soon.
Picture time.. Ladies have profile pic updates as well as comparison shots from 2 weeks ago. Enjoy
Lady #1:
This girl smells so savory. I honestly get hungry and start salivating slightly when I pick her up and her aroma fills the air. I can't wait to smoke her up.
Pic 1: This is an overhead view of the plant. Notice how the tops are drooping over. Even with support these colas are bending to the weight of the top buds. Very fruity/candy like scent.
Pic 2: size of cola in my hand wrapped around it snuggly to give an idea of how big the cola tops are. After I took this shot I found a cola that was probably about an inch bigger around. :D
Pic 3:Bud close up shot. You can see here that it hasn't started swelling yet and still probably abotu 4 weeks out from harvest.
Pic 4: Another overhead shot.
Lady #2
Pic 1: Overall shot of the plant. Looks like it's nearing it's completion date soon. I'd say a week after the big plant. This one will start getting flushed next weekend.
Pic 2: Close up of the bud
Pic 3: My hand wrapped a bit tighter around the bud to give an idea of size/girth.
Lady #3:
Pic 1: Overall shot of the plant. There are some red/amber hairs but most of them are still white an the plant hasn't started swelling yet from what I can tell. It seems to be behind it's sister (Lady #2) and it's buds aren't nearly as dense like Lady #2. Lady #2 feels like a rock when you give her a gentle squeeze. This plant is *slightly* fluffier.
Pic 2: Shot of one of the main colas
Pic 3: Hand wrapped around the cola top to give idea of size. I removed that hair from the buds when I saw/felt it.
Pic 4: Little macro shot
Pic 5: Another Macro shot
Lady #4:
To be honest she's not my favorite lady but she's turning into my pride and joy. She has so much bud on her it's unreal. This plant was a real scraggler growing up and even throughout most of flowering. It's within the last 3 weeks that she really started blossoming and getting some serious mass.. Even with both my hands I can barely wrap my hands around her main cola.
Pic 1: Overall shot of the plant. You can tell she's going to be a pretty decent yielder. I'm stoked
Pic 2: Closer shot showing top of the canopy. No way I could get the main cola in on this shot. It's way too tall.
Pic 3: 1 hand wrapped around the cola. Not even at the thickest part (although it is pretty thick in that area, if I go up just a bit it get's at least 1-2 inches thicker). You can kind of see where my thumb ends up and see where my fingers are. I'm grabbing this cola very firmly. IT's fat in deed!!! I can't wait for this baby to start swelling up. I'd say she's about 5 weeks behind her sisters. I'm not sure why though.
Pic 4: This is a shot of the backside of the plant/backside of the main cola. Amazing :stoned:
Lady #5:
The original. The beast that ended up being anything but beastly. She's about 2 weeks out from harvest and flushed her with 10 gallons of water today. I will flush her again in about 3 days with 15 gallons of water, and then again in 3 more days with 20-23 gallons of water.. and then another final flush of 30-35 gallons of water.
Really get the chlorophyll broken down.. wash out the salts/ferts all in hopes of aiding the curing process.
Pic 1: Overall shot of the plant
Pic 2: Shot showing the top of the main cola and how far down it goes with continuous buds. It may be skinny but I bet the fact that it has buds all the way down to the main stem will help compensate for the yield. I'm not sure about quality though.
Pic 3: This plant doesn't have much cola girth, so instead I took a tape measure to show how tall that cola is with buds. It was kind of hard to hold the tape and cola while trying to steady my camera in the other hand. Didn't help that I just smoked some killer herb. heh
Pic 4: Macro shot. Not as good as any of my other plants but better than what I've been buying/getting.
Pic 5: Another macro
Great job of photos and information.
This grow log forum is really some fine entertainment as well as educational. I love it here! :rasta:

update:
I pruned the hell out of plant #5. I decided to just go ahead and harvest it in 1 week instead of 2. I did a heavy pruning of the popcorn budlets and the plant finally looks like how it probably should've looked all this time.
I put all the budlets in a trash bag and filled it about 1/3 of the way (13 gallon bag.) here are some pics of plant #5 now.
I'm not too concerned about herming. I'm going to keep a close eye on her to make sure to get it out incase it herms. Actually a more accurate term would be I would gently remove it from the grow area and then just chop it.
I am unimpressed with this plant and I'd rather have the room for my other plants to put on more resin/more weight. The big plants sits right in the center of the room hogging up all the good light.
I've been thinking about chopping this plant for the last 4-5 weeks. My only regret is that I didn't chop it back then instead.
Pic 1: Plant after heavy pruning. Doesn't she look pretty now?
Pic 2: Same as above
Pic 3: Overall shot of the budlet "trash".. the small cola over to the right is pretty decent. Small nugs but really crystally. I'm saving that one to dry/cure. I didn't mean to cut it but might as well go ahead and smoke it if possible.
Pic 4: Close up of budlet trash
Pic 5: My hand in the picture to give a reference of mass/amount of the budlets I cut off the plant.
