Im not angry at anything, it just makes me upset to see how these "people" want the bible and others things put into perspective. Such as the teachings in sodemy, some villagers see outsider men venture into there city, The men go to a mans home and ask for a place to sleep, while the villagers follow, The villagers knock on this mans door who was gracious enough to let 2 men he didnt even knwo stay at his home. And the villagers say they want to have sex with these men.....WHat?? ok so the home owner says no! these men are guests in my house, you may take my 2 daughters and do what u want with them. Cmon fckin on now, we are tought so much different then this, your daughters? whom are supposed to practice chastity. Its all wrong, and we get messages like dont like same sex marrages be legal. this is Bush's reasons for making same sex marriages illegal...

However if we had an understanding of what the religion really stands for, maybe it would be something we could belive in. With corruption an every day thing now back when these bibles torah's and other books were written they were times of morbid corruption, its all bullshit, i get more understanding in non god belifes, such as the tao te ching, and buddhism.

Im not bashing this, but honestly, you can percive evil and good on anything, and we want to belive in a god, becuase with out the belife there is no consequence in death. If there was no god, and u killed some one, and didnt get caught by authority then its like it never happend.

okay. so nobody has answerd the question yet. all i have seen (and sorry but i didn't read the whole thread) are peoples reasons they don't want to believe he exist. because of all the killing in his name, because your life sucks, because i would have bitch slapped him. the answers to why people don't want him to exist are endless. just a little observation here. if the person that believes whole heartedly in God (not the person who just goes to church or whatever every time the doors are open but the person who really believes in God) dies and they are wrond what have they lost? a minute or two out of each day to talk to someone who as i turned out didn't exist (but for most people i think the idea that there is a God is comforting and the fact that they can talk to him probably helps brighten their day) but lets say the person who dosn't believe dies and they are wrong, God isn't gonna be all like "yeah you pretty much fucked up and shit...wanna try that again?" nah pretty much if the non-believer is wrong they end up shit out of luck.

Honestly it just seems impossible for out of nowhere for everything to just be created out of nothing. We cannot even begin to describe or fathom God. Our minds are not even close to being able to wrapping our minds around it. Therefore us trying to prove or disprove God is just plain futile. Religion is something created by man, something that I believe is totally pointless. I don't believe God is a being that wants us to worship, and to humor and play along with in order to hopefully achieve the reward of eternal salvation at the end of our lives. As far as all the horrendous shit going on down here on Earth I don't think God wants to interfere, its something we have to do on our own. If we fuck it up, its our problem. One comforting thing is that if God really doesn't exist, the believers haven't really lost anything. If we die and there's nothing after the fact, we won't know it, quick and painless.

I seem to look at this topic from a completely different prospective. I'm atheist; I don't in any form or another deny the existence of god. I am open minded and attain no religious beliefs.
What has got me sitting finely on the fence between all you people is I don't fall under any of your 'beliefs' in a sense in the existence of god, I sit completely happy and like you, have no evidence behind it.
I don't really want to get too off topic at all but for those whom are stuck in either faith or denial I'd strongly suggest you people reminiscing any paranormal experiences and basing your OWN 'experiences/knowledge' and try to understand more. Because who is to say what is out there, IS out there?
Before all you people die and jump to any conclusions (even against me about this), I'd suggest you and a few inquisitive people do the Ouija Board.
These things DO work... I'm not egotistic, i'm a Realist; I see for things as I feel towards them based on my knowledge of facts and won't form my opinion until it is 100% proven by these means.
I have never seen a ghost, nor seen anything paranormal, but I have however experienced the Ouija Board. Now, If you can explain why my friends drinking glass effortlessly lifted up off the mantle piece and soon after flew sideways into the wall with undeniable force as nothing out of the extraordinary - you are stupid... It debunks the laws of physics, it shows a different outlook towards what we know and what we claim as real.
All I can say is; if god is real... Out of the thousands of years and all the major claims their have been in the Bible and about God, there has been no form of ANY solid proof for really any of it. For those whom think we just 'die'; in which our existence is that of which we were before we were first born... That could in fact be true, I am not denying that either.
I don't fall under any souls traveling through realms category either... I'm just open minded, and I accept the fact I won't know until I do die, rather than not accepting the fact I won't know and rely on religion or some other 'belief'. And by the looks of this, you could say most people become religious for the fact they deny the fact of no existence.
In conclusion, I strongly believe we will never know till the day we in fact die and we all need to be less egotistical, and ever since my Ouija Board experience, it has opened up my views upon what we all infact do know in this world and that denial is another evil in this world that is making us all live in a blinded world.
If you want to find yourself, it's a journey of 'self' in my opinion... But don't expect anything, but then again.. If none of us do this, we will definitely never know.
Anyways I'm off to smoke a few more and watch Jacob's Ladder :smokin:
