I guess I was a little unclear in explaining what I was doing with the HPS. Since my left-side veg room overflowed into my "flowering" room, I have been vegging some in the right side with CFLs.

Then, when I got my HPS light, I still had not sexed any of the plants. Had to wait for my clones to root, veg, etc. to be ready to flower.

Then, I built my "BodomBox" (rubbermaid growbox) to start the sexing process. IN THE MEANTIME, I am continuing to veg all other plants, even the ones under the HPS. They are still on 18/6.

Hopefully, when I know the sex, I can just leave some of the BIG plants in there and flower them. From my novice evaluation of the preflowers, I am predicting a high number of females...which I will not have room for!

I will try to pick 2 or 3 good mothers and flower the rest. We'll see what happens.

KNOWM, to answer YOUR question...at DAY 69, I THINK the clones in the BodomBox are 5 days into flowering. :D They are starting to show the hormone change as they are creating the "top-like" upper leaves, if you know what I mean. Still no pistils or ballsacks. Hope this answers your question... ;)

Well, glad to know that you dont NEED 440cfm for that small space. I will get all the specs and show you some pics of what "we" are working with. It is insufficient. Will get back to you on that one...

As far as the chair goes...It actually acts more as a stepladder to move lights, reach clones, etc. It also serves as a photo platform. You will see it in LOTS of the pics. So far, I have pretty much been taking all the plants out of the closet every week when I go work on them. I remove them, measure their growth vertically and horizontally (recently stopped doing this cuz I'm not LSTing yet), pick off any dead foliage, take single shots of each plant, then put them back in the closet. Soon, I will be anchoring the remaining ones (after sexing) into a bed of hydroton and removing them will not be possible. THEN, I will be using the chair for its destined purpose. I did consider this also when I built the shelf they sit on to that height.

Those pots look small to me...

Well, you are the second person to post regarding my "pots." LOL

First of all, that orange bowl you see in every picture is not a pot. It is the bowl I use to put my pump & airstone in when I'm changing my res, and I also use it to put the plants in when I'm taking pics so I dont get water all over my expensive, one of a kind orange chair! :D

I have been advised already about the rootbinding problem and that will be taken care of. For the moment, tho, they are in 4 x 4 rockwool cubes. I'm gonna have to put them in an actual pot with some hydroton, or just sink them in a bed of it, after removing the white plastic of course. ;)

Edit: Oh, and StinkyAttic, the only reason I am not doing the repotting now is because I just dont have any room. And I also dont want to sink them all into hydroton just to have to rip them out in a few days because they are male. ;) thx

Glad you took the [hopefully] girls out for glamour shots.
Another quick comment is, have you considered the practicalities of adding some side-lighting to your box? Even just flouro tubes. The plants are showing signs of wanting a little more light to the lower leaves, even though the tops look really healthy.
I still think your setup is pretty SLICK! :D

Thanks. I guess I never really though of it as unorthodox. I kinda understand what you mean, cuz I'm not using DWC, NFT, or soil like most people use. Just keeping it simple with a drip system and the cubes. I didnt forsee having the roots outgrow the cubes before I had the plants sexed. But I'm taking care of that. Otherwise, what did YOU mean by "unorthodox?"

Well, funny you say that. As we speak, cohort is proabably at the store buying more CFLs to hang over the top of the beg room and we will probably be putting the tubes we have on the sides. We have been discussing using bigger flouros (142w equivalents instead of 100w ~) but they do not have the same "full spectrum" label on them. I have to check the kelvin on them and read up some more cuz I'm not very educated on that. Thanks for the compliment. We think it's pretty slick too! :D
