each to their own as they say
everyone is a fanboy here haha no real gamers.... if you are smart you admit the strengths of both systems, no single system can best the other, it comes down to third party developer support,
be a smart gamer or dont voice your opinion at all.... untill you own all current and next gen systems and run a beefy gaming PC your opinion doesnt matter... unless you really know what you are talking about sure
to me gaming chit chat is much like drugs, some people know what they are talking about, others dont but pretend like they do...
take some of my advice, subscribe to 3 different gaming magazines, each made for a specific console, then subscribe to 2 different magazines that are independent like me then you will know what you are talking about... it doesnt hurt to be a forum guru on places like http://www.evilavatar.com/ where developers them self frequent
know your info or shut up
I know my info, and so do other people with different opinions. Anyone who says something ignorant, no matter whose side it is on is told to shut up by everyone. Third-party support obviously isn't the only reason to buy a console otherwise that would be the only thing being mentioned, but it is a big part. I know PS3 won't be out until the holidays so I don't have much to go on (http://www.engadget.com/2006/03/06/t...z-holidays-06/) but seeing as how the original Xbox had only a few titles worth buying, I don't think much will change in the 7th gen.
i couldnt disagree more... you coudl talk for days about xbox 360s features. ps3 is just gonna be another piece sent out by sony thatll break in 2 years so you have to buy another,.. money hungry fucks not to mention is looks like a fax machine from 1990........:oQuote:

I'm sure both systems will be fun, but I can play 360 right now!
I made a thread on RampRage a while back (I don't go there now (It really sucks)) about the 7th gen: My question was, What does the 360 have over the PS3?
With the exception of a few people saying things about graphics (which I responded with this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari..._game_consoles) the only thing anyone has said to me was that it had better online capabilities. Though that's an entirely different debate (It may indeed be better, but it also costs money), let's assume it is better; however, SONY is said to be working on a competitor service, hopefully a free service (who am I kidding? I'm not getting either one so I don't care).
In the case of the controllers, at least they're doing something innovative. SONY says the controllers are only slightly different (albeit slightly uglier) but are more ergonomic and will be more comfortable for playing games for hours. Nintendo is making a controller that will not only be more appealing to normal people who don't play video games, but is also supposed to handle a FPS with accuracy (!) as good as a mouse/keyboard configuration (Finally!! A Console FPS that requires no auto-aim *cough*halo*cough*). If you want to check out a cool video (it requires a good amount of imagination), check this video out: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7503797230984048423&q=nintendo+revolution) SONY will be introducing a High-Definition revision to the Eyetoy which is supposed to work better interpreting body movements. By connecting a DS to a Revo, one should be able to use the touchscreen as a new form of input. SONY and Nintendo know that a new console with better graphics alone won't sell very well. Some may just see these things as novelties, the DS (w/ touchscreen) and the PSP are nearly tied in units sold, so I don't think any other innovations will be deemed novel.
What has Microsoft come up with? A camera attachable to the 360. Unless it's somehow better than the Eyetoy, it's no extra incentive to buy the 360. SONY and Nintendo both have handhelds worth connecting to their console counterparts adding incentive, and unless you count the Origami (which might have nothing to do with the 360), Microsoft has nothing like that.
If you're just skipping down the posts, just read this last sentence:
What does the 360 have over (what we already know about) the PS3 and the Revo?
one word to end the arguement: HALO
