lovely ladies!

hey guys, sorry i haven't check this thread for new posts lately.

boss, the materials are pretty straight forward: 400hps system, i eventually changed to a cooltube for the reflector. i used fox farm ferts along with liquid karma and thrive alive. for the screen i just got some plastic screen from home depot with 1 inch holes, fastened to the closet with nails in the walls and the screen tied to the nails with wire. i used the same wire to train the plants onto the screen. for ventillation i had 2 180cfm kitchen exhaust fans(eventually upgraded to a ecoplus 465cfm squirrelcage) and i had 2 oscillating fans blowing on the canopy. the most tricky thing with scrog i found was keeping the screen/canopy from stopping the airflow from below to above. as the buds fill the screen they tend to form a barrier that restricts airflow. in smaller spaces it is sometimes necessary to add an extra intake so you have 1 above and 1 below the screen. this can be very important imo. good luck boss!

crispi, i don't know the breeder of the ww's but i also grew gypsy's kiss from reeferman and master kush and ice from nirvana. the master kush became my favorite after a while. i used that 400hps scrog in that small closet for about 1 1/2 years. i am currently on probation(caught with 1/2 gram driving to work at 7am in my work van) so i don't have a grow for security reasons until the probation is done in a few months. i am accumulating the equipment for a 1kw hps cooltube scrog in a 4ft x 6ft closet when there is no longer a risk of my probation officer "dropping in" to check on me. if all goes well i might even eventually up that to 1600watts or maybe even 2kw!

so justaseed, did you ever make hash with your leaves from that grow, cuz i bet you coulda got a lot, nice job on the grow man.:thumbsup:

oh yeah!! i made a shit load of hash with bubble bags. the thing is that it is sooooo good, when you run out the pot alone doesn't get you high anymore for the 1st few days until your tolerance goes down. and i'm not talking about just midgrade pot not getting me high. the topshelf ww and even the masterkush wouldn't even work for at least the 1st day after i ran outta hash. i guess if that's my biggest problem i should probably just shut up!!!

Justaseed, A few questions about your scrog technique. When topping do you FIM top, or top at the exact point to create only 2 more shoots? The reason I ask is that your tops are all so uniform, almost like a corn field and in many scrogs it looks more like a whole buch of nugs all over the place. Its seems to me that not FIM'ing the plant would make it not grow shoots out the ass everywhere and would make it easier and more organized to train through the screen. In my experience FIMing a plant, then LSTing it to all the same height, and finally pulling the shoots through a screen and tieing them down has never produced what your WW's looked like as far as organization. Whats the SECRET!!

nice grow just a seed. i am curintly trying my first scrog grow with purple power seeds. im at day 20 flowering right now. my grow does not even compare to how nice yours seem to turn out. but i hear your one of the best scrog growers on this website.so if u happen to get a chance to check mine out any advice would be nice. i have been doin a bit of trimming under the screen right now but im kinda scared to take to much. oh well practice makes perfect. your grow rules man. ttyl.

thanks again guys, and to answer your question i sometimes fim topped and somtimes not. the reason the tops are so even is because i do intense training from the time they go under screen up intil around day 14 of flower. i try to keep all the branches/tops twisttied right to the screen at this point. i don't allow any top to get more than 1-2 inches over the screen until the stretch phase is over and the plants "crown off". once this happens i stop training and allow them to rise up above the screen a bit more. they usually finish only 6-12 inches above the screen and that's all bud by harvest time and hardly any leaf or branch . i also trim away some fan leaves above the screen to expose all budsites to direct light.

Awesome job. I have never had time to look in on this, but I am impressed. I am getting ready to do something like this, and I will check out the entire thread later in order to get some bearings. I have overgrown moms, and need to have a large clone grow. later
