Doesn't work that way. He had a strain that matures purple, which is common.
I think he was yanking your chain.

Lool i did this in primary school with white flowers. All the petals went the colour of the water, should work on weed then, time will tell !
I guarantee you are barking up the wrong tree. The only way food coloring would affect plant color, is if you spray the crap on your ladies after harvest. (very bad idea)
There are shitloads of 'purple' strains. Purple is a self-defense color often used in different species of plants for sun protection and for cold protection. Kinda like anti-freeze for plants.
Have I grown purple strains...? Yup. Still do on occation.
Have I ever used food dye to change color? Nope. And I never will, especially since it doesn't work and beyond marketing...means nothing except it's a colorful flower.
Your best bet in all this...read the FAQ's and some growlogs till your eyes bleed. Learning to grow cannabis is a process, not an event.
And if he was actually serious...you should quit listening to your brother, as he's clueless.
so u dnt fink it wil work mr rusty? I try it as a little experiment.. c wt appens..
howdy ere sum mor piks ov me darlins..
Glad you like the look of my girls, tbh I am a bit disappointed with the results this time round, the secondary buds are not as good as last time. But the cuttings came from a different mother with poorer genetics. Your ladies are looking good too, I would be proud to have them in my harem.Quote:

Adding more light can negate this effect, so your side lighting should help them mature faster.
Thats my fault, I didn't mean to offend you (honest), I should have kept my opinion to myself. Grow logs are for talking about growing cannabis.Quote:

I don't really want to recommend because I don't think I have enough knowledge to make this decision for you. Looking at the latest pics in your thread, I would say the buds look immature and are going to take longer. They look like my buds did at around week 5.Quote:
