You might have noticed that I'm not developing my pieces yet.
Aren't you curious about that?
Well, sure, but...
a) your queen and both bishops do have pretty good striking power, with the center relatively open as it is.
b) So far, play seems fairly close to the Rubinstein Variation of the Classical Defense to the Queen's Gambit Accepted. In the past, when you've thrown what appeared to be a deliberate red herring, it's been to the passive side of play, so all is consistent.
c) At some point you are gonna get bored enough with my inexperience to let me get enough ahead where you can really fight.
So, what's "d?"

Thought I'd trade queens and get forked, didja.:D
Thanks for all da credit, but I'm not that devious.:)
And, as for "c." ?
As long as I have pipe stuffins and your skills keep buildin' dis fast, I'm havin' lotsa fun.
When da day comes that I need to quit smoking to prevail, I'll bankroll ya in a tournament, and re-retire. <note, no smilie.>

If you answered that in the last post, I missed it...:o

Nope. You seem generally less inclined to trade than I have been. When we started, I'd trade at every opportunity. Especially pawns. Get the weak stuff outta the way and go to war with the big stuff. Real Man's Chess.
But having played a few games and come to situations where "Boy, I wish I had that bishop back," I'm less likely to just try to clear the board. The balances are where the game is. (You've displayed a reaction when I've upset them without apparent reason, too.) That a pawn can frustrate a queen is part of the charm of the game, and trading pieces just to depopulate the battlefield is kinda like arbitrarily removing colors from an artist's palette. It "simplifies" things, in a way, but restricts the ability to create different scenes.
*yawn*
Whoops. Bored myself. Sorry. :D

This is strange...
Your post above showed up just now.
But it's from, like, 15 hours ago.
Hmmm.

Rather than waste half a tempo and banish my knight to BFE, I will offer a trade that I'm not eager to consummate. (see above, :o)
Seems like the correct decision, strategically. I've got some moves invested in that knight, but I was harrassing with him more than developing him...so...
