Ever since this has happened, there has been alot of debate and controversy on whether weed is harmful or not. More than I have seen in a long time in the U.S. Now I think could be a good chance for us stoners to prove the propaganda wrong.

hmm hadnt thought of it lyk that
5 bux says everything'll go back to normal tho
Spread the truth!
How has it sparked debates? It's just showing the potential irresponsibility of some cannabis users..
There has been a few things bout weed on CNN and there was a debate on CNN
I think it just shows that those particular stoners are also irresponsible dumbasses with too much free time.
If you were going to let your child use it responsibly, you wouldn't make a video of it. Nuff said.
if its harmful or not, smoking up a two year old is almost universally seen as wrong. Anti-cannabis members will likely boil the debate down to that.
So what if it's not harmful,
These were American children traumatized by the strong arm of terrorism!
My question is how did this tape leak out? There seem to be a break down of the 'what happens here stay here' mentaility that i grew up with.
I saw this story and it makes us reponsible users look, well, the opposite of that. Now there will be ads claiming pot smokers will force infants and 4 yr olds to smoke pot.
I find it also sad that something like this has to happen for an open debate on the effects of cannabis to happen. Maybe we should inject THC into unborn fetuses to do tests? :p That will get the ball rolling.
I don't think any of this is a good thing. The debates are good, but how the debate got started, is not.
who cares, nothing will change. When are you guys gonna stop caring about it bein illegal in the goverments eyes? I know many people that have smoked for over 15 years, it bein illegal has never effected them smoking it. Im not tryin to be an asshole just tryin to open your eyes a little and let you know it wont be legal in our lifetime if ever. You can only hope but what for???? As long as your not an idiot and do it responsibly you will NEVER get in trouble, or hear from the cops, so whats the problem???? I think you guys that just keep wishin it would be legal are using it to a manner that could get them in trouble...i.e. driving around smoking, selling it. Who cares about the uncle that got the 2 and 5 year old stoned hes an idiot and will eventually get what he deserves, we all do. Who cares how its gonna make "stoners" look???? What the fuck do we got to prove to anyone????? We smoke pot its a fucking plant its an herb from our once beautiful earth. Sorry for the rant i havent smoked yet today :p
One dude is blaming pot for what happen,,,said he thought nothing of it till he was straight and now see's it was wrong...
wait so he makes us look like asses, then when the shit hits the fan he tries to wiggle out of it by blaming the weed...????
i wna find those fuck-tards
whats this 2 year old smoking thing...is there an article or a clip
yep,,, the kid was talking on the news this morning and I heard it come right out of his mouth...Quote:

Video of Texas toddlers smoking pot leads to 2 arrests
Demetris McCoy says he's sorry for the firestorm he caused after his two young nephews were videotaped as they smoked marijuana, but he says he doesn't believe he is the first to expose the boys to the illegal drug.
The Watauga 17-year-old is in the Tarrant County Jail, charged with injury to a child after police released a video of a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old boy doing drugs.
But even as he apologized in a jailhouse interview with WFAA-TV on Monday, Mr. McCoy talked about how his nephews didn't get high while smoking the marijuana. He predicted the youngsters would have eventually smoked the drug anyway.
"They wasn't even high," Mr. McCoy said. "They didn't even inhale it right."
The youngsters on the videotape are the children of Mr. McCoy's sister.
Mr. McCoy said he has been around marijuana all of his life and that drugs, for many, is just a part of growing up.
"Some people give their kids alcohol, let them smoke ice, methamphetamines. Weed ain't going to kill them," he said.
Mr. McCoy, the father of a 3-month-old daughter who said he is a high school dropout and pursuing a GED, said he has watched the video at the Tarrant County jail since his arrest last month.
"It happened, and I can't go back to the past," Mr. McCoy said. "I'm sorry for what I did. I'm sorry for the pain I caused my sister."
He described his nephews, who are now in foster care, as "puffing and playing with [the drug]."
Mr. McCoy said he allowed the children to smoke because he was high on marijuana at the time and also said he believed they had smoked the drug before.
Mr. McCoy's friend, 18-year-old Vanswan Polty, also is charged with injury to a child with bodily injury. If convicted, they could receive up to 10 years in prison and/or be fined $10,000.
The two were out on bail on a burglary charge in Watauga when the tape was made.
The tape was confiscated by Fort Worth police on Feb. 22 when officers executed a search warrant at Mr. McCoy's home in the 6000 block of Hickoryhill Road in Watauga.
Watauga Department of Public Safety Director Bruce Ure said the teens encouraged the two young boys to smoke a marijuana cigar.
The teens, laughing on the videotape as they offer the children the drug, call the boys "potheads." They also make jokes about the children having the "munchies."
"You're watching a crime in progress," Mr. Ure said. "This is their uncle, and he's encouraging them. They were so willing to go along, to please their uncle. Encouraging a 2-year-old who is clearly a baby â?? it's a baby, and they think it's funny watching him impaired."
Investigators, he said, were appalled as they watched the tape.
Mr. Ure said this was not the first time the children had been given marijuana.
"You can see that the 2-year-old, he's inhaling," Mr. Ure said.
The boys' mother told police that she was asleep in a back bedroom at the time of the recording.
Mr. McCoy said he is surprised by the attention the recording has raised, saying the media has blown the matter out of proportion.
"Nine times out of 10, kids are going to smoke," Mr. McCoy said. "Kids are going to smoke. It was going to eventually happen."
When told that media outlets across the world were showing the tape, Mr. McCoy said he did not welcome the attention.
"This ain't nothing to be famous for. This ain't good. I recorded it, and that's what hurt me most."
Police are searching a third teen who may have made the tape.
Mr. McCoy was arrested Feb. 23. Mr. Polty was arrested Friday in Fort Worth.
Both are being held in lieu of $150,000 bail.
A hearing to determine whether the boys would remain in foster care is set for March 26 in Tarrant County Juvenile Court, said Marissa Gonzales, spokeswoman for Child Protective Services.

So your saying why we care about it being illegal? because some times even if we are responisble pot smokers we still get busted at times and we dont deserve to go to jail for it period espically being a responisble pot smoker. Smoke ppl smoke their whole life and not get caught but others who are responisble still go to jail at times is why I want it legal.Quote:

They just wanna use it to get more people against pot...its rediculous shit
We have to take into account that it was a blunt,,,meaning a tobacco addiction...
id like to shove a white widow #42 up his ass and tell him "look what weed can do ta ya"
This is just a random case by some INCOMPETENT individual by in no way case or form reflects on the behavior or thought pattern of 99.99999999% of pot smokers. Nuff said...

I think pot does not hurt kids, because I have an experience with this. A long time ago when I was 17. I use to be a "drug dealer". Well my scale broke and I nedded to brake up a couple of pounds, and I remembered that one of my customer's husband or boyfriend (not too sure on this one) was a scale technician or something like that (can't remember the exact name). Well I called her and asked her if she had a good scale that I could use to weigh out 1/2 ounces, and that I would give her a few grams of dro. Obviously being the pot head she was  she said yes. So I go into her house and there was two little kids probaly 4 and 6 (not too good with kids ages). Well they were in the room with me and the babbysitter while I was weighing. I was feeling weird weighing this in front of kids. Well the older one comes up to my pot and I move it to the other side of me (so he does not be around it) well he tells me "I don't pinch" and I just busted out laughing. Then he leaves and comes back with a bong. I was flipping out (FYI I was soo baked; so imagine how trippy this was to me:jointsmile: ) Well he then tells me to give him a bowl; I tell him no. So then he says he always smokes. I looked at the babysitter and she said yeah, I then said does his mom know. Well I finished up, and gave the mom the dro. I then asked if she knew that her kids smoke, and she said yes; that she rather them get it from her than the people on the street. I just shrugged and left.
I am sorry for the long story I just thaught it was some what funny. In my opinion I do not think any kid should smoke. They should at least wait until they are a teenager. These kids acted like they have been smoking for awhile. Although I did not see them smoking they knew a lot about it, but they looked pretty healthy, and they did not seem harmed
Also they where definatly not forced to smoke. I do think that is very wrong and irresponsible for anyone to give a kid any drug even marijuana. Also for anyone that is offended by this post I do apologize, also if anyone is asking why did I not call the authorities on them. I did not see them smoking, and even if I did I still would not have called the authorities because for one they would be smoking willingly and another reason is because it is not harming them. I am not a snitch, but I would call cps if I think it is serious like abuse. But as long as they are just smoking I dont care. Also for any "law inforcment" that might read this, I did not witness them smoking, and I did not commit a crime for not reporting it. Because the mom and babbysitter where probaly joking.
And for all my fellow pot heads I apologize for those final remarks to the "law inforcement", but I get a little paronoid when I am stoned:jointsmile:.
The mainstream media is too federally dominated to shed a positive light on marijuana. Just look at the current headlines
"Uncle: Giving young kids pot not a big deal "
Yeah, what he did was extremely irresonspible and idiotic, However, the mainstream media is treating him like a child molester. Calling for him to get 20+ years in prison. Just shows how corrupt the media is, and the general public is buying into it.
Your obviously one that uses it in a stupid manner. I smoke in my house, never have i ever been paraniod or anything, why??? Well im in my own damn house smoking. YOU tell me how i will get in trouble by me smoking in my house???????????? Just one example and i will agree we should try everything we can to make it legal lol. I could care less if its legal, it will never stop me from smoking.Quote:

If you can't hold your own blunt you shouldn't be smoking yet!!!! (Unless its because of some physical disability, and that is not what I am talking about.)Quote:

Also, I just want it legalized because it should be. It won't effect me too much, but I stand up for the things I think are right, and legalization is one of them. I mainly want alcohol and MJ to be equal, law-wise, as the amendment here in CO last November was trying to do.Quote:

This legalization thing is bullshit. It never shoulda been outlawed in the first place. All they need to do is repeal laws based on racism and lies.
again your not understanding what im saying, go back and read SLOWLY. If your worried about cops bustin in on your grow, then you shouldnt be growing in the first place. If your out slangin the herb, then who cares if you get busted you know what yoru doin right???? You obviously didnt read anything i wrote just skimmed over.Quote:

It really won't effect me that much if it is legalized, because I don't use it stupidly. I understand that it won't effect you either, but there is no reason to insult people who are simply pursuing its legalization for the principle of the thing.
So please, tell me where it is that I am losing the understanding? You think people who are pro-legalization are stupid because they care about a political issue? I understand that you think that, I just don't agree.

So when you guys go on rants about having to "prove" something to the goverment or people, that weed is not a harmful herb, i think its the same kinda post as " is my weed laced". A broken record.
