dont be putting down Slipknot dude. its not nu-metal, niether is System. they've e been around awhile, won grammies and all that shit. gone double or even triple platinum. ill admit Systems new shit is fucking horrible but Slipknot is fucking badass i dont give fuck wat ppl say about them.
FYI Nu-Metal is a genre and they definetly are nu-metal... i dont care for slipknot one bit but i'm not against all Nu-metal, there are good Nu-metal bands out there such as Rage Against The Machine! Really my problem is bands that have no meaning to them.. like slipknot.
I love hardcore because its a lifstyle not just a style of music. If youve been to a true hardcore show you'd understand... its all about unity.. Friends, Family, Forever!
That and nu-metal kids dont know how to dance... they think pushpitting is moshing... its not. Its all about the 2step! :o)
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
dude
fuck all that
justin timberlake is where its at
just kiddin hardcore's the shit, any norma jean listeners on hur
FFS listen to real music children, led zep, deep purple, jimi hendrix, rory gallagher. Hardcore pppfffffffttttttttttttt I pish on hardcore from a great height.
i like myself a little Led Zep and Floyd everyonce and a while but its not my bag... I'm a hardcore kid at heart
I piss on kids who listen to XthisXkindXofXmusicX. lrn2realhardcore, not bullshitxcore.
\i'm not a fan of the "tough guy" straight edge movement (obviously) but POSI is deff where its at.
I like some moshcore stuff, like Hatebreed and Full Blown Chaos, but thats about it. I hate almost every aspect of "hardcore". Standing in a pit walking back and forth until the 2 step part or breakdown.
I like some hardcore, like Hatebreed, All Out War, Terror, and Throwdown. other than that it all sounds the same after awhile.
I just have to say SOAD are BY FAR one of the most original bands out there. No one sounds like them, or writes like them. They sing music for a cause, not to compensate for small dick sizes. ;)
I like Slipknot though. Their newest album I only like a few tracks off of, but their first album and Iowa are some heavy ass crazy shit.
And if you've ever been in a Slipknot pit, you wouldn't be calling them pansy.
I don't like to put music in classes. If I like it, then I like it. I don't care what the next person thinks because I'll be the one kicking your ass in the pit. :p J/K
floyd are the shit.Quote:

I agree, but I haven't had the chance to see them yet. :( I did see Throwdown before x-mas, and they are very much the same as Hatebreed, but I do want to see them one day.Quote:

im not a fan of hardcore but can ignore it. but the dancing that goes along with it is absolutely rediculous. its like theyre figthing the air, which is what i used to do in 1st grade when i wud pretend i was one of the ninja turtles.
Yeah, if you are fighting air you are one angry dude. :p
Can you be seen in the video of Hatebreed's video FatKid?
Yeah, only for a second though. Its the part where everyone is walking into the place where Hatebreed is playing, and then the scene changes. I wasn't in it alot though because the sunburn from Ozzfest and then being out all day in 105 degree weather with no shade really takes a toll on your moshing.
Don't be bustin on Slipknot man, that's some hardcore shit there. I'm sad and pissed they broke up :X Now I'll never be able to see them perform. SOAD is a decent band, but not hardcore at all. I haven't heard of a single band you listed, but I'm gonna look em up. I love my Slayer, Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Napalm Death, and anyone with a fast heavy sound and someone screaming as loud as humanly possible and beyond.Quote:

I heard SOAD broke up, but Slipknot?! Why god why!
They broke up like two years ago man, Subliminal Verses 3 was their last album. It was because of personal issues between the band members or something, I didn't look into it much. I know Joey Jordison returned to the Murderdolls and Corey Taylor is in Stone Sour, a new band, pretty good. SOAD is taking a break. I think they'll be back in a year or two. As for Slipknot, well, RIP :(
good call man you made me lol:DQuote:

"Corey Taylor stated in an interview with VH1 that the band is currently on hiatus until 2008 while the members work on their side projects."

as far as hardcore dancing, dont put it down untill you try it. make sure you have a couple beers in ya, you'll be suprised. and stop caring what other people think!
with that said, im not a hardcore kid in anyway, but i admit hardcore shows are just fuckin fun.
oh and as far as slipnot, thats what i call mall metal.
to each his own!
Yes, I just did some research myself on this and it looks like Slipknot is just on a break. :)Quote:

stay POSI brother
hardcore punk was cool when i was like 14. haha
soad cant really be labelled, their output was far too varied and blended the punk/metal/hardcore genres and they were brilliant. slipknot are ok but im not really into that hardcore/metalcore thing. trivium and goatwhore are ok too. im with the oldstyle crowd really, doom metal and all that. check out the sword for a decent band who sing, not scream.
call NJ whatever you want, but I frakin love them, now Redeemer is the worst thing ive ever heard, but O god the aftermath is frakin amazing
your dam right there on a break. i was just gonna bust out a mad post till i read yours. :D iv been a fan of Slipknot from the very very very fist album. "Mate Feed Kill Repeat" i bet many of u havnt heard of that one  it only has like 10 tracks on it. But never say RIP to Slip, there not dieing off this easy lol. they'll be back in 08 iv heard this more then once. everyones just doing there side projects. as for Stone Sour they've been around for quite some time and i fucking love everything they put out aswell.Quote:

I actually heard their very first album before and I do not care for it. Their debut album though is one of fav. heavy albums ever. It's rough sounding, just the way music should sound. It's not cut and pasted and dead on sounding.Quote:
