I will give it a good 10-20 years, when the world has way more serious problems and people are in need of marijuana.
yeha my econ teacher told us 10 years
i'd say in 7-10years it will be accepted in a lot more parts of the country but i feel like it will be atleast 20 years before its nationally legalized recreationally
at least when i am 40 i'll be able to smoke legaly
when the 30-40% of Americans that smoked pot get off their lazy asses and PROTEST this unconstitutional bullshit!
A moment in America's History, brought to you by marijuana:
The Constitution was destroyed SOOO many times after it was written because after the revolution, when Franklin, Adams, Washington, etc. went back to their hometowns they PARTIED IT UP [[drank excessively at local pubs]] and it seemed like no matter who the one copy went to, it still got destroyed one way or another (they all had to show off the document and it ended up being ripped, burned, lost). One time, a founding father smoked America's biggest JOINT by using a copy of the CONSTITUTION!! -- no fucking joke!
Of course, this was before they FIGURED OUT, they should have just made NUMEROUS copies to begin with!!
I'd guess that in the next twelve years, one state will finally be the first to legalize it. Of course the inevitable will happen and the feds will move in to shut it down. Then the state will sue and it will become a long ugly court battle that will eventually end up in the Supreme Court. The Court, depending on its makeup will have to decide a number of things (medicinal value, how that states law applies towards the commerce clause, or if it is a states right issue). So, who knows if marijuana will ever be legal because it could be decided by a court decision that will establish precedent.
dude a lot of states have legalized itQuote:

Denver, not the state of Colorado voted to do the same thing, but police in Denver still right tickets using state law... so nothing changed.
There are still court battles pitting California against the govs for their medical distribution program. Think about these battles on a whole new state-level scale.
If its not legal in 10-20, its not gonna be legal for a long time.
more mis information In alaska you can have up to 4 ounces in your house. it is only legal if the feds do not pursue it because if the local police find out they can notify the fedsQuote:

I dont want to lose hope but to me it really doesnt matter, i probably will still get better deals from my supplier then crappy gov regulated weed, and i already smoke it virtually everywhere other people smoke cigarettes.
but then again i live in canada, the land of the free, where the pigs just take your weed and send you on your marry way, unless your selling then they treat you like a crack head.
NORML got a great map it only takes a sec to look :)

Weed will never be legal. Too much money is being made from Pharmaceutical
companies and state and Federal governments for it to ever be legal.
It is all about money. Get busted in your car, they can confiscate your car. Grow in your home they can take that.
Billions of dollars are made from medications that are way overpriced. Why would they want people to have a cheap natural painkilling plant when they can charge so much for their pill?
It will never happen. Sad but true.
Lol, it would be funny if it was tomorrow. In reality, i'd say 10 to 15 years.
It is legal for Alaskan residents to have up to a quarter pound in house for personal use.
I really have no clue, but i think im the only person here that doesnt want it legalized. Legalizing marijuana i think will kill the mood of doing it and not make it as fun to smoke, buy, and hide. Just my opinion though.
I would say around december 26th 2012. Look on the Mayan calender, and Nostrodamus' predictions, alot of things are going to change big time on that date.
Say that to the Dutch and they would laugh there heads off. ;)Quote:

* in a world where marijuna is legal and you can buy a pack of 20 pre-rolled joints, one man grows his own at home and doesnt have to pay a god-damn thing or even leave the house.*
what i find rediculus is the weed tax stamp laws. How the HELL do the think they can tax something that is illegal? It makes no sense to me.
"No taxation without representation!"
Self-incrimination for the win?
I don't think it would be like that if it were legal. There are too many varieties of weed to have them come in packs like cigarettes. If it was available in that form then it would be schwagg. just like the tobacco in cigarettes is of low quality and half of whats in the cigarette isnt real tobacco, its just the "reject" tobacco from the factory cooked down in a large tank to make freebase nicotine and processed into paper and cut up.Quote:

that just my dream anyway.
if that is all your dreams hold move to dam.Quote:

And unlike in Holland supply to the licenced premices should also be tolerated and regulated.
